Thank you Tracy Helton for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Evangelism (96%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a strong understanding of the Word of God. I understand how the Old Testament and New Testament are entangled together to fulfill the Promises and return of Christ. I am able to hear the Holy Spirit speak to me.

#2 Gift, Teaching (96%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a strong knowledge of the Bible and understand Gods plan. I do a bible study that has taken me through the Bible, line by line, for seven years. I believe Paul’s appisals, his writings to the gentiles are very important to salvation and the understanding of Christ death, burial, resurrection. We are under grace! Faith plus nothing because Christ took on our sin at the cross!

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Understanding we are forgiven believing Christ took our sin at the cross is so important. No one is actually worthy, and for anyone to see themselves as deserving and some people not deserving shows they do not understand the gospel (Corinthians 15:3-4). Church is for the undeserving so we can all grow stronger and closer to God the Father, Christ, and understanding the role of the Holy Spirit. Forgiveness is something we ALL need.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Comforting people who are going through a tough time – a death, rebellious children, divorce, or questioning their faith and why they are here.

2.

3.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love teaching my 2 and 3 year olds, but I know I could do a lot of good working with teens and adults. Being able to explain God’s Word to adults makes me feel like I’ve done what God has called me to do.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I wish we studied more of Paul’s teaching. I think it’s important to understand how we fit into God’s plan. It is truly amazing once you see how the Bible comes together – a road map for our lives -and to understand how Paul spent time with Christ AFTER he assented to heaven! Remarkable and I believe so many Christians do not understand the connection of Christ to Paul, to us.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was baptized in 5th grade but did not fully understand the concept of salvation & grace until I was older. I found a church in my 30’s that opened my eyes to what Grace and Forgiveness is about. In 2011 I embarked on a Bible study that truly changed my understanding of being a Christian means. I am able to communicate with the Holy Spirit. I know when He is speaking to me and what a life changing experience. Our life on earth is such a small part of our existence. I can truly say, I don’t have a religion, I have FAITH. Everything is in Christ. My journey is a wonderful testament to what God does for those who step out in faith!

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

First Baptist Church Newnan; teaching pre-k. I think 2 yrs. (in the 90’s)

First Methodist Church Newnan; 1 yr 1st grade

Community Christian Church. Helped lead community missions. Raised $12,000 for families in need for Christmas one year. And for two years personally called church members and assigned over 200 DEFAX children for Christmas support, organized the drop off of gifts and the distribution to DEFAX.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My husband. He has taught me so much about not worrying and not allowing others to dictate my mood. That changes the way you look at others and puts you in a position to choose am I going to be happy in spite of others

My mom and dad. Always helping others. I try to emulate their life as a parent, their eagerness to give to everyone unconditionally- no strings attached. And to always give second chances.

My first job. I was an introvert, afraid of everything. I was 17 and the people I worked with shaped my abilities to deal with so many different people

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Divorce

Breast Cancer and a survivor!

Being a single parent for a while, remarried
