[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Family- love spending time and investing in my family.

2. Teaching- I love interacting with students and helping prepare them for life.

3. God’s Word- I love the message of Christ and the hope that comes with knowing Him and reading His Word.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Children, especially middle school. They are not to young, but still impressionable enough to make an impact. I feel that with the proper guidance, they can grow to be what God would have and I find joy in assisting them to make the right choices and be the best they can be.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Youth ministry- ensuring kids have the necessary tools to NOT conform to the world.
Marriage ministiry- ensuring healthy marriages in our church.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Grew up in the church, strayed away, but returned after feeling like life beat me up. At my lowest point, I remember asking God to be a comfort and He was. For the first time, I ‘felt’ His presence and peace and my life; then vowed to never God back. My faith increase, trust enhanced and love for God and His people grew. I began serving Him in various capacities and even went to bible college to help grow myself more.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Zion Church, Landover, MD
Remnant Youth Ministry as mentor, group leader, and presenter
2 Years

Second Baptist Church, Roselle, NJ
Young Adult Sunday School Teacher
3 Years

Shiloh Baptist Church, Elizabeth, NJ
Youth New Members Class and Teen Sunday School Teacher
3 Years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Teaching God’s Word to the Youth in the New members class, great reminder of the basics and simplicities of accepting Christ into you life and His everlasting love for us.

Getting married and being stretched beyond measure to be selfless according to God’s plan.

Moving to Maryland from New Jersey and leaving my foundation (family, friends, church). Having to rely solely on God to be everything to me, without the comforting distractions of the nucleus of people that have supported and loved me all my life.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My parents divorce made me questions God’s promises.

My parents getting remarried and God restoring the years we’ve lost as a family…. *praise hands

The harder moments in marriage, where I had to let go and trust God.
