Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in the church and asked Jesus into my heart at a missionary service when I was 11.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Youth/Children’s/Staff Pastor at Adrian Church of God in Adrian, MI for 14 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I took a Leadership Training class through the Church of God over a 9 month period and the wisdom from my teachers and studies from that has and still challenges me to this day.

My friend took me on a Mountain Bike ride. Lost 44 pounds over that summer. This has pushed me to look after my health a lot more than I was at that time.

Cheesy as it is, but marrying my wife. She challenges me daily to be a better man. Whether it is encouragement or just trying to learn from my many screwups!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

We had a student in our youth group who murdered his parents. I can’t say I’m looking for someone who might do this but I take seriously every conversation I have with people.

Going through the death of my Grandpa. I see the grief of loss and know that it is just the fact you are there that is important than what you can say.

A parent took offense to something I said in jest. People do not know how to take me at times and that has created some strife. I am not totally better at this but I am more conscious of what I say.
