[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Feed the hungry – I love to help with events that feed or house people in difficult situations.

2. I love to help new Canadians find their place here in Canada and settle into their new life. I especially like to spend time with young girls showing them the opportunities for women in Canada.

3. I love to be out in the mountains hiking or snow shoeing. It is my happy place and a place where I see the amazing glory of God. To share that with people who may not get the opportunity is very special.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

New Canadians – primarily females. New Moms – supporting them if they have little or no support. Elderly people who may need a visit.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Event planning and organizing for fund-raising and socializing within the church are the things that get me excited. I love opportunities to invite friends to events at the church because that’s how I can introduce the church.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My husband and I were invited to church by friends. We had been attending a Catholic Church for years but I had never made the full commitment until I attended alpha. Over the years my faith has grown slowly until recently attending a 12 week course called Breaking Free by Beth Moore. That study has challenged me and planted the seed for further growth. I want to learn and serve.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Meeting and marrying a man who is such a good person and who has shown me what it is to be loved and cherished.

Becoming a Mom to two daughters.

Completing basic training and then finishing my university degree – both challenges have shown me I can overcome very big obstacles.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up in a home without God.

Getting pregnant at age 16 and having an abortion.

Moving and changing schools many times. I can be quite under confident at times and long to be accepted into a group.
