S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Theresa Lading for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Giving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I may not always have the finances to give a lot, but I know I am so very blessed and I want to be able to help others. Giving comes in many different forms rather it be financial, time, advice or just being there for someone to lean on. I am still learning so much about our Father, I may not be the right person at this time in my walk to lead others or to give advice but I am here for whatever God has planned.

#2 Gift, Serving (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I think serving and giving go hand in hand. I enjoy serving at our church, just knowing that I can help out where and when needed is very encouraging. I may not have that outgoing personality that’s needed in other areas but God knows that, so I will continue to help in the areas I can.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (56%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a very soft heart for people, and have always had a hard time seeing people hurt or struggle. If I can help even in little things to make someone else’s life easier or encourage them that is what I feel I should do.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I honestly can’t give an exact time or situation that brought me to Christ. I know from a small child I loved the lord and wanted to serve him. I can’t imagine living without the Lord.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

At my previous church I served in the children’s ministry in the infant and toddler room. I also helped plan and organize the Halloween outreach.
The Vineyard church in Springfield, Ohio.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I think working in the medical field off and on in the past has had an impact on me. It’s made me caring and compassionate to others.

Growing up my parents were always there for me. I grew up in a very loving household, I think that thought me how to be a better parent myself.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

In my previous marriage, I was in an abusive relationship both physically and emotionally. Although this was very hard to deal with and overcome, it has given me a heart for others that are hurting.

While working at other jobs I have been made fun of because of my faith in God. I believe this has helped me believe it or not, because it has just confirmed even more how wonderful God is and that I don’t ever want to be without him.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Would love to help my my children/family understand how loving and wonderful God is, and how much they need him and why.

4. I would love to go on mission trips and be able to to minister to those who want to know God and help those who don’t.

5. I always said if I had the money to do so I would open up a very big homeless shelter, not just for shelter but to give hope of a future for so many that have no hope.
