[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. My passion is teaching children. I am able to do this everyday as an educator at the Christian school. Not only am I able to teach foundational knowledge such as math and reading, I am able to share Christ in all I teach. He is why I teach. It is such a joy to incorporate God’s plan everyday in the lives of my students.

2. I see a great need for married couples to be mentored. It is becoming more apparent each year how difficult it is for married couples to stay together. This breaks my heart.

3. Finances! I love keeping a budget and seeing how the Lord richly blesses and makes up the difference. It brings me joy to pay my bills and do taxes!

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Because I work with children every day of the work week, I really am not interested in working with children at church. I love working with those in my age group in a project that serves others. I also enjoy visiting with older people listening to their stories and providing companionship.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I have led Financial Peace classes in the past. I currently co-run the Cafe. For two years I directed Children’s church K-6. I have been part of Caravan as well. I ran the ticket sales for Sights and Sounds of the Season for a couple of years. If there is a need, I usually volunteer (except for VBS and children related activities)

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I had the privilege of having a dear saint (neighbor) pray for me for 16 years. At the age of sixteen after my parents were divorced, I was introduced to Christ. I received salvation at a church revival meeting. Even though I was the only Christian in my family, I quickly grew in the Lord. He called me into education and a life of ministry. I am grateful to the Lord for blessing me with a strong Christian husband and 3 children. Three years into my walk with the Lord, I fully surrendered my all to him and was sanctified. I have followed the Lord as faithfully as I am able. He continues to show me areas of my life that I need to grow and mature.
