S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Trisha Miller for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love encouraging others and helping them to keep on going and to see how loved they are by God. I believe in lifting people up and helping them to know that they can do whatever it is that God is calling them to do. Encouragement helps people to move forward, it helps them to be uplifted. So many people hear all the things they do wrong so often, their self-esteem has been torn down and they have been through so much rejection that they need to hear what they are doing right. It helps build up their confidence.

#2 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel I have this gift because my heart breaks for the lost and the hurting. I know what evil is and I don’t want the enemy to get anyone. I care about new believers and other people in the church. I have a burden for the lost in such a way that I get passionate and even protective when someone says something that could cause them to be discouraged and walk away. I pray for the lost and the hurting and the prodigals too. I know everything is about growing God’s Kingdom. When people are hurting because of what others have said or done and wanting to walk away, I have such a strong desire and know that I need to share with them how Jesus is not the reason this happened. I want to share Jesus with everyone I see. I enjoy sharing God’s Word and when I read his word I love studying it and asking God to have the Holy Spirit showing me what he is saying to me and help me to know what He wants me to share with others. I pray for him to change me so he can use me to reach the lost and also to be used of Him to grow his kingdom and not just by sharing him with others but to be in a relationship with them to help them to grow closer in their walk with Him. Teaching them to read God’s Word, Worship him and pray. The goal is to teach them how to have a relationship with him and be in a relationship with other Christians.

#3 Gift, Prophecy (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe I have this gift because I have had many visions and dreams for others in the church. God has given me words to share with others when I have been praying for them. God has also shared with me words to share with pastors in order to edify them and the church. Pastor Doug used one in speaking over the congregation and I have had many times that God used me to speak into others lives words that would help them to know that it is definitely God. I would never have been able to do any of this on my own. I know where I came from and I know that I am not that good.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to volunteer in organizations that help the hurting. It takes my focus off myself and helps me to focus on showing people the love of Jesus. When you help the hurting, it lifts them up. When you help support organizations it helps take the pressure and burden off the owners, managers, lead volunteers and pastors.

2. I love to paint with acrylics on canvas and give them to my friends and others as gifts to bless them.

3. I am a social person. I love to spend time with my husband and kids and friends. I enjoy doing anything that allows me to spend time with others.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with people who are hurting and organizations that need to be supported and need people to help take the burden off of them. I love to work with a variety of ages. I love to help people to know that they matter, and my heart is so broken for the lost and the hurting.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love working with new believers and Christians who have lost their way. I have a heart for anyone who has been hurt by anyone. My heart is for the abused and rejected and the ones who are left out. The outcast. I noticed that even in churches each ministry seems to have their favorites and it causes others to feel like they don’t belong or feel left out. They feel outcasted. I have felt that myself before and I have had many people confide in me about why they left churches or didn’t even get involved in any ministry because the ministries already had their people and their favorites and it was quite obvious to them. So they just don’t go back.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
