Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

After a rebellious youth, Jesus called me into His family when I was 28 years old through a church softball program.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Centenary UMC, Lexington,KY
Children’s Sunday School, middle school girls small group leader, Celebrate Recovery, Finance Committee 1985-2010

Bible Study Fellowship, Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, attendee, group leader, children’s leader/supervisor 2012- present

Grace Church, Cape Coral, women’s Bible Study, various Sunday School Bible studies, small group leader, EHS/EHR

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Serving in Celebrate Recovery following a divorce. This taught me to forgive myself and feel that I was still loved by God.

Being part of Bible Study Fellowship leaders team. This deep study of God’s Word and the example of older Christian women who were servants of God in this all-volunteer ministry matured me as a Christian.

Being a member of Grace Chirch Form Team has given me a deep love for our church and her Pastors, staff and members. I’ve grown to love the body of Christ while a part of this team.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My parents divorce and abandonment by my father. I was 40+ before I got over being a “victim” of that. Praise God for the 12-step program.

My own divorce. It took me a long time to feel okay about myself after that and to accept Christ’s love for me.

Guilt over my poor parenting (at times). I have been forgiven by God, my children love me and Christ has removed all my shame over that.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Know my neighbors, invite them in. Maybe start a Bible study here or have a house church.

4. Share our faith and love for God to our 9 grandchildren in a meaningful way that they will always remember

5. Continue to study and teach God’s Word as long as I’m able.
