This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love the word. I love to learn it and teach it accurately. I encourage others regularly in the word. I taught teenagers for at least 4 years on a regular basis but then various other times as well; home school, other church groups, etc. In India, I have taught very often in our visits. I found when we were teaching teens that I really have a love for this. I also have done a discipling program with a few people, etc.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t really see myself as an evangelist such as one who wants to go out and share Jesus on the streets or etc. If it is in a natural situation such as at a job or somewhere where it can be natural in a relationship, I love to share Jesus. So evangelism is enjoyable but not in the typical understanding of evangelism.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy giving. If we have the money or the ability to give in various ways, I enjoy it thoroughly. I don’t believe I have to be poor in order to give my all to the Lord or be inconvenienced so others can be blessed. As I am blessed I can bless others. As I give and receive God’s blessings in return then I can give more. But if I am poor I find it harder to give. I am learning that I don’t have to have a lower standard of living to support God’s Word. Sure I don’t have to be lavish and extravagant but I can have a nice lifestyle and fully benefit the Word of God. I wish I had more to give at times and sometimes it hurts if I don’t have to give. Being poor has never made me or many better givers. If I don’t have very much, I can’t give as much.
[H]eart
1. I love to teach the Word of God. I also love to learn and study the Word from those who really understand it well and live it out. I love to help others learn it more and love it and see the goodness of God instead of the age-old religion that has been passed down for so many years that is not in line with the Word of God. We have a good good God and as I am learning this I want others to understand this too.
2. When there is anointed and good worship, I love to worship Jesus. So often in worship the Lord shows me things, speaks to me, and I sense His presence. I love His presence and I don’t like anyone disturbing m when I am in His presence. He is so good.
3. I love ministering to those in other countries especially in India but to people here in America that are hungry for Jesus. I love to minister the Word. I love to minister in healing and deliverance and simply in the power of God. I love to see Jesus touch people and them grow towards Him. I love to be used by God. Sometimes delivering a prophetic word is hard but yet if it’s the Lord and I know it I don’t want Him to not use me. I love Jesus and partnering with Holy Spirit.
I love to work with my husband Tom the most. My children are a blessing to work with as well. I don’t care so much about the age or type of people I am working with as far as working together with. We just have to be like-minded. Now the people I want to minister to are probably more now young adult to older. I worked with teens in churches and in counseling and in raising my kids for probably a total of 20 or so years. I loved it but that’s not where my heart is. I love little children. Years ago I worked with them but other than my grandchildren that really is not where my heart is. I want to minister to adults, any age but hungry for Jesus. If people are not hungry and sincere for more of Jesus or if they are just churchgoers for the sake of going to church, I have little interest in working and ministering to them. My heart is for the hungry. If teens are included in that, that would be fine. I don’t want to just teach a good book or Bible study. I want to teach about who Jesus is and what His word actually is saying and dig into the Word with people. I am doing Bible studies but it is along these lines. And these things I want others to understand – faith, healing, the love of God, financial blessing, deliverance, etc.
It bothers me when I realize people don’t understand the Word of God but yet they are always at church. That happened recently when I spoke to someone. Social issues are good but the Word of God really covers these and in order to deal with social issues we need to make sure the Word of God is incorporated at all points. I was a licensed counselor for about 12 years. I gave my license up so I could work. with Exciting Word Ministries. Also, the laws were changing and I didn’t want to deal with that and I felt the Lord said it was time to close things up. I was also counseled for 5 years. Counseling is great for teaching. I don’t see counseling so much as a healing program. I had a lot of pain and honestly at the end of 5 years of counseling it took one touch from Jesus to bring major healing. Counseling helps with teaching communication and gives understanding but all real lasting healing comes from the Healer Himself – Jesus the life-giver. So we need to keep our main focus on the Bible. All the answers are there.
Other – Teaching the Word of God so people can take it and all these other areas can come in to alignment. The Word of God is what we need to understand and take to our hearts. We need to learn to walk by the Holy Spirit and be able to minister to others.
[A]bilities
I am a homemaker. I am also an assistant leader for the fundraising side of Exciting Word Ministries. I also have 5 grandchildren that are part of our lives here in town.
In Churches: We have cleaned bathrooms and a church. I did many years ago and then Tom and I did at another church. I/we have worked with very young children up to elementary age. We’ve taken care of Sunday school snacks for children. We’ve been on various prayer teams (at All Nations Church, prophetic teams with Morningstar.) I/we have taught teens at United Faith and Central Church of God. We did camps with
United Faith youth, once at camp Quest and at Central I served many years for junior high and senior high youth. I did Sunday school, Wednesday groups, and other types of groups with the youth. I have served to welcome people. I did cassette tape ministry in my early years in our church. I have sung. I’ve done many things in church but most of my ministry was with youth. Then we started going on mission trips as well. I have done that some with youth in town and out of town. For a few years at a church, I helped take Parson of the Hills children to shop at Belk’s. I have traveled on mission trips to do clean-up in the New Orleans area after hurricane Katrina and I have ministered to the homeless in town and in New York. I have done jail ministry. I have ministered in Bulgaria, Israel, India, China, Cypress India with EWM and in Brazil. I have been in Dayton Ohio to minister with Global Awakening. I have also been on their ministry team. I have been prayer support for pastors and for the church. I have been on prayer chains.
For Work: I have done filing, training, sales, computer work, etc. I have done volunteer work with the Crisis pregnancy center, a hospital for picture taking, and in the gift center. I have worked with early voting putting people on the machines to vote. I have worked on voting day. I have volunteered at Samaritan’s purse with packing Christmas boxes a number of times. I have done Internships with the Crisis pregnancy, Abused and neglected kids, addictions primarily with youth, and counseled sexual offenders and others with various needs. I have Counseled marriages and parents, individuals, teens, and people in various situations.
Also with Exciting Word, I have planned trips, organized the ministry on this side of the ministry. I have planned for places to speak, planned schedules, and planned dinners for fundraising. I also like to exercise.
I like to teach and feel that is a gift. I have been trained with a master’s degree in Counseling. I am good with organization and administration. I am overall pretty good with people. I am good at doing science experiments. I good with teaching critical thinking although how I did it with homeschoolers, teens liked it, parents didn’t. I know a whole lot about eating healthy and keeping oneself healthy. I became a vegan almost 20 years ago and have studied a lot in this area. I am pretty good about searching out the best prices and making travel plans. I like to cook if I have time.
On parenting adolescents. I wrote a book for school on parenting adolescents. It was a book to work with teaching groups. I have used it. I have taught search for significants. I have taught Critical thinking. I have taught Randy Clark’s book on healing. I have done individual studies with Derek Prince’s book on the basics of theology. I taught a lot of things in Sunday school with teens. One was on apologetics, some were on teaching students about a group who was rescuing trafficked girls in other countries, taught from a book by David Wilkerson, and then taught various things from the Bible. Taught health and Science with homeschool classes. Maybe I taught other things as well. I’m not sure.
I do love people and I love the Word of God. I like my personality. At one time I didn’t like myself because of my personality but as God healed me, I realized the world needed people like me too. I am not mercy-oriented. I really am prophetically motivated in personality. I am not a pushover. I like things done right. But I am still learning perfectionism is not a good thing but excellence is. So I think because of my personality that is a valuable personal asset.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I don’t know How to do brief. But I grew up Catholic at around 12 I was at a Bible study at a friend’s home. They asked me if I wanted to receive Jesus. I could pray there or t home. I prayed at home and received Jesus as Lord and Savior. When I was 16 I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Grew in Jesus. Was part of a number of churches and learned many good things some not so good. I was never really a bad person. I did a few things like smoking cigarettes, very little drinking, one puff of pot. Mainly I had dealt with depression and anger issues. God healed me. Before I was baptized in the Holy Spirit I was threatened with Kidnap and rape. God protected me and He used people. All glory to God. I needed Jesus and He brought me into His Kingdom.
I think I gave most of this already:
Lamb’s Chapel-Tape making, cleaning the church building, singing with the band some, other things I guess.
Christ Episcopal – taught young children ( I think 2-3-year-olds) Sunday school
St. Giles Presbyterian Church – Singing occasionally, Kings Kids (taught I think first graders), Taught Rainbows (elementary girls), help with snacks for Sunday school, helped a couple of times with deliverance, prayed for the pastor regularly, maybe other things.
All Nations Church _ Prayer team and cleaned the church building
Morningstar – Prophetic team, maybe ushering, home group leader
United Faith – Worked with youth, youth camps, teaching youth, prayer for pastor and church, maybe other things.
Central Church of God – Prayer Chain, Youth- (group ministry, Sunday School, camp with Junior and Senior high students, Search for Significance class, mission work with youth, homeless ministry, jail ministry, front desk), missions with adults, Served meals for women’s meals and prime timers, did a lot of Christmas boxes for shut-ins, served in many ways over 11 1/2 years. A picture taker for a friend who has ministered to the widows. This has been since we left Central.
Antioch International Church – Prayer team and Welcome ministry.
Joy – prayer team, taught a class on healing, helped with children one semester.
Getting Married to Tom Fahey and having our 4 Children.
9 years of College and getting 4 degrees but in that, I got to minister to a lot of people and share Jesus with many people along the way.
Doing missions in various ways and places -New York, New Orleans, and in many countries and now having a ministry to India.
Also Global awakening experiences but also learning so much from the Word of Faith ministries.
When Holy Spirit came on me and I started shaking a lot and people thought I was trying to get attention, or that I was demonized or that I was sick. It made me decide that following Jesus was more important than being swayed by people and whether or not they accept me versus following God. God would give me that grace to choose Him.
I grew up with an alcoholic mother and a father who had heart issues all my life. It helped make me who I am today but I have had so much healing and I’ve seen so much of God’s goodness. I’ve learned so much about counseling, healing, and so many things.
Some of our difficulties with going to India have been very difficult but these things have taught me so much about God’s faithfulness and ability to protect us and our family. He’s taught us a lot about how to pray.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Well my #1 is not singing in a church setting. Let me first make that clear. I want to teach people the Word of God but I want to teach it to people that are hungry for more of Jesus. That’s why I love to teach in India r other places but I like to see discipleship happening.
4. I want to pray for people and see healing happen and I love to see people touched by the Lord. I want to see all the different kinds of healing possible. Healed limbs, new limbs, eye sight restored, hearing restored , cancers healed, etc. Minds restored, on and on. I want to see people delivered from demons. Then I want to see people learn how to keep their healing and gow in the word of God.
5. My 3rd is not ministering to the homeless shelter or feeding the poor. As good as it is this would not be my 3rd desire. My desire would be more simply natural desires to travel more and love on my family. I want to see all my family walk in the things of God. I want to see them move in the kingdom of God and miracles and know the ible and understand it and walk in it. So I want a home that my family will all to be able to comfortably come in to and we can all visit and eat together. But I’d like to have a home where we can have groups of people in more comfortably to share and talk about the Word of God. I want people to know this Jesus we know and to walk in the power of His resurrection. So it’s natural and spiritual.
