S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Tammy Pleasant for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am for the underdog, those that are overlooked and frowned upon. I believe that everyone deserves a chance. Everyone needs to know that someone cares about them and that they have value.

#2 Gift, Giving (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a heart to give, but don’t always have the faith. I often look at my checkbook and make the decision not to give because I won’t be able to make it until my next paycheck. I am working on being more committed to giving. My heart is bigger than my bank account. I am working hard on living with an open hand.

#3 Gift, Serving (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy serving. The end goal is to make sure everything goes smoothly. I am normally a behind the scenes person. I don’t mind being up front if I am doing something in my comfort zone.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Speaking into someone’s life.

2. Be able to bless others financially.

3. Watching my children become grow into God fearing, productive members of society.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I always find myself speaking into the lives of young adults (ages 16 – 25). The conversation normally centers around the plans they have for their lives. I speak from my own experiences and try to encourage them to have and plan and to execute it.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I think that one of the most important things in church is order. Making sure the service goes smoothly by everyone being in place. Being receptive to everyone and encaging is also important. Everyone should feel valued when they walk through the door.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
