S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Terri Farruggia for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Hope is never lost when we stand with Jesus. I have personally experienced losing all hope in the past. As others literally, physically snatched me from the enemy’s jaws of death in the past, I have grown a great deal in my walk with the Lord. I just love conveying hope to anyone, especially at the time when they are doubting God’s love and their faith may be wavering.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
So many people have the belief that God is not kind or loving because He “let’s” so many bad things happen. This is when I like to share some of my story of how God does not give up on us. We need to be able to see how He loves us and rescues us. He doesn’t leave us…we walk out on Him and we can then become bitter. God is always there at the ready to help us “fix” negative situations. We need to be ready to accept truths and fully trust that God will help us through. We also need to be able to recognize the things He does to help us. We need to let go of the limitations we put on God so we can recognize His love.

#3 Gift, Giving (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Giving of money and time both are so essential to assist in spreading the word of God.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I was a hospital nurse for 40 years and so enjoyed it. I am now officially retired, but I like to volunteer to be on medical teams at events.

2. I enjoy visiting with those who are incarcerated bringing the love of God and gospel to them.

3. Listening to contemporary Christian music and attending concerts. I guess another way to phrase this is that I so enjoy praising and worshipping the Lord.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Young adults with mental health issues. The homeless.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Continually evaluating and adapting how we can best get the word of God out there for all.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
