Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

I grew up in church. Beginning in 4th grade, I began to be more engaged and interested in study school. I committed my life to Christ at a youth group retreat at age 12.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Graduating from Hillsdale College where I played football, was a Young Life leader, Sigma Chi (fraternity) leader, and student.

Going to Washington DC and working. Living on my own, getting connected with communities, and starting my career with a strong foundation in organizational management.

Growing up in a safe and fun family/neighborhood environment that encouraged and enabled me to learn, play, and pursue new experiences.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Periods of unemployment/under-employment. Working at a company that flirted with bankruptcy and had to let go of a number of employees. Getting to know job insecurity.

Working with organizations in Grand Rapids serving the underprivileged and struggling.

Having my heart broken in a relationship that I thought was leading to marriage.

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. A role where I could facilitate other’s learning and growth.

5. Continue to pursue new experiences to experience God’s creation and expand my view and understanding of the world and the people that inhabit it.
