S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Travis Webb for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Serving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Although I know I should enjoy serving because it pleases God, I do get a big satisfaction from identifying the needs of others, and then seeing their joy when I can/do meet those needs.

#2 Gift, Teaching (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a strong desire to constantly learn, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others (even, perhaps, when unwarranted).

#3 Gift, Giving (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know that God can do more with my skills/talents/money/etc. than I could ever imagine doing. If I don’t give these things willingly, I feel like I’m letting others down by keeping them out of God’s “toolbox.”

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Although I attended church throughout most of my life, I didn’t find a passion or faith that was strong until adulthood (around 25).

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Marrying my wife

Graduating from the apprenticeship

Playing sports in high school

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Experiencing (and ultimately failing at) college

My parents divorcing, which lead to a lot of back and forth movement for my brother and me

My struggle to find a career that truly challenged me AND brought me some joy

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Begin frequenting missions trips

4. Teaching others about His love

5. Helping kids/young adults without a firm father figure in their life, and emulating our Father to the best of my abilities
