Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was intrigued by the ‘Christians’ in my high school and started to watch a popular tv show called the Awakenings aimed at teens produced by a church in Chicago. The goal was to show real life issues and how the Lord loved them no matter what. It was great evangelism show and I wanted to know more. After the show I watched Showtime at The Apollo theater (LOL) and Creflo Dollar ( in the early 90’s). I received Christ after watching one of his broadcasts in my bedroom. A few weeks later I started going to church with my great cousin and unknowingly lead my family to join church.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Fellowship MB Church, Chicago, IL, young adult club leader (1-2 years), admin for Youth Conference (2 years), Sunday School teacher (3-4 years), Youth Announcing Clerk (3 years)

Faithful Central Bible Church Englewood, CA. Decision Counselor/Youth Decision Counselor 2.5 years.

Fountain of Praise Houston, TX. Care Counselor 4 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I had 2 amazing math/science teachers in elementary school. They encouraged me to excel in math/science as well in reading/writing surprisingly.

Meeting Dr. Butler in undergrad and she helped me attend graduate studies in electrical engineering.

Moving to California alone right after graduate school.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I went to a predominately white institution and a calculus teachers assistant called me out and asked why do we need the National Society of Black Engineers because of my shirt. I was also discouraged by counselors in the minority engineering /retention program in undergrad that I wouldn’t graduate. I did graduate and I try to encourage engineering women who are first generation college students like I was due to my experiences.

I grew up around a lot of alcoholics/drug users. Some were delivered and others not so I am sensitive to those who are users and family members of abusers. I didn’t know about the Holy Spirit at that time nor had a personal relationship with Christ. I did know God loved me but I didn’t understand anything. I love encouraging people and explaining the Lord’s forgiveness, explaining who the Holy Spirit is and encouraging those who are recovering from drugs/alcohol abuse.

I’ve experienced bad relationships like most single women and I took ‘hiatuses’ after tough relationships. During these times my relationship with the Lord grew stronger. I’ve always attracted young women in bad relationships and the Lord always gave me godly wisdom to help them in their relationships/relate scripture to the situation.
