Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
Survived a road accident at 3, had 2 special needs kids who turned out far better than they’re diagnosed, had 2 head surgeries & 1 hip replacement surgeries and in between my surgeries had to quit my job to be the primary caregiver for Dad who was bedridden and homeschool my autistic teenager. Couldn’t have done all that if I had not started praying at 3 and formally accepted Christ at 14.
Sunday School teacher at Wesley Methodist Church(WMC), Singapore from 1988 to 1998. Stopped as I nearly suffered a miscarriage.
Led small group from my home from 2008 to 2020 in WMC.
Usher in WMC from 2013 to 2017.
Was the narrator and/or emcee for church plays and large scale church events since I was a kid. Boosted my confidence and helped me to overcome stagefright from childhood.
Writing scripts for sunday school that was performed in church or even in a mall.
Was told that my 2 special needs kids would amount to nothing by healthcare professionals. By the grace of God, I prayed before every session I tutored them till they entered college. One is a government scholar in a world class uni and another is entering college in a few weeks.
Being Dad’s caregiver. He was bedridden with alzheimer’s disease and dementia so whatever I did for him was never appreciated. Had to give up a job I loved and much of my social life and ministry too. Felt as though I lost so much for nothing.
Mothering my 2 special needs kids taught me great humility, patience and to trust God with unwavering faith.
Having life threatening surgeries in the midst of caring for my bedridden dad and homeschooling my son for a milestone exam taught me to surrender and just trust in God’s grace which is sufficient for all my needs.
