Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love helping those who really need it. Helping with the Giving Tree is one of my favorite things. It has been cool to see how God will place people in our lives to bless if we are obedient. One example is while we were shopping at Walmart, the lady in front of us had her card declined, so we paid for her bill of groceries.

2. I love being able to do accounting for our church.

3. I love spending time with my family.

Church finance excites me the most. It is awesome watching God provide and also striving to be good stewards of His money.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I accepted Christ at VBS when I was 11. My parents became Christians, and we had recently started going to church.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have served in Children’s Ministry more on than off since 1998 at Cornerstone in the nursery, front desk, GAs and AWANA.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My family. I grew up in a large family (6 siblings) with parents who loved me.

There were times in my childhood when we were poor. I can remember hearing my parents discuss not having extra money for a school field trip to Six Flags, but tithing anyway, and watching God provide for the trip.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up with seasons of being poor gives me compassion for children living in poverty.

I did not have grandparents who were involved in my life. This makes me want to be very involved in my grandchildren’s lives.

Having a child walk away from God has been one of the hardest thing I’ve gone through. It turned me to a closer relationship with God, and I’m still praying for Ryan (and Laura) and loving them unconditionally.
