#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have experienced living in darkness, being without God in my life, yet always wanting to learn about God, but letting others opinions get in my way. I have experienced abuse, addiction, and legal trouble. I feel through my story I can encourage others to turn to Jesus and know that they are loved.

#2 Gift, Serving (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to do for others, I love to make others happy. It makes me happy to be able to serve. To take care of others, waiting on others, especially those who are down, and have low self esteem, to lift them up just warms my heart.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to give testimony, to tell others my story, and how I was saved. I am overwhelmed, by such a big God, to know how far I’ve come and that I can see where God revealed himself in my life, is too great not to share.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Bible studies, learn the word. I love to learn

2. Serve others. I pray one day I will be I a position to serve in many ways, but for now I serve as I can. Although I don’t know where I am needed. I guess I feel that since I’m not out and about, I expect a phone call and to be asked instead of just sitting here wondering what It is I can tomato help.

3. To help the addicted and imprisoned.
I also wish I could be a mentor to young teenagers
And I love working VBS kids they’re great!!

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Oh I , love to work with kids, even disabled kids
Age type I love old people just as much as I love the children.
I loved working with special needs, adults, as this was my last job. Even special needs children, as my son is autistic..they are all special and beautiful. In fact they teach me wonderful people.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Complacency: Being accepted and then being left alone.
A call to serve: Saying we need to serve and then not reaching out, leaves one to wonder or left out. Same old people who won’t let others in to do a job. What’s worse is that when called to do a job, it’s not with sincerity.
Following through: It is one thing to say something, but to follow through is a whole other story. I think it’s because those wanting to serve are held back by the complacency of veterans it the church.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I am an addict and alcoholic. Through my addictions, I always was pulled toward God. I became sick, and was forced to recover, and turned to the Lord. I believe that, because of my upbringing, I always believed in God, but I let life get I the way of accepting Jesus. I allowed love to get I the way. I was saved after I met my husband, and my passion to learn about God and the bible, his word, became priority in my life. I decided to make a drastic change and here I am. I still fight with my past demons, but I feel because I love to learn I have been transformed to be the person I always should have been, and always wanted to be, most importantly the person I started out to be before life got I the way. I could go on and on, the details of my story are my life are what got me here. But we will save that for another day.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I served at my present church, with Vacation bible school, and in feeding the hungry. Two yrs, and I pray one day, I will be of service to others more.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My father, recovering from alcoholism to become a deacon in the Catholic church. His ordination speech.
