S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Virginia Lee for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know how it feels to have no encouragement and also to have it . I want to share the wisdom that I have acquired and learned throughout my life and experiences with others to help those that have not found it or do not love themselves.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel that I have this gift because of the person that I have become throughout my years in this planet. I feel that God has helped me in my journey and he has always been there but I never had the faith, knowledge or understanding of what that meant until now. God is always with you…you just need to look for him and there you find yourself. I want to share how God has helped in this current journey that I am in. I feel an inner peace and joy to live life to the fullest. I have overcome a lot of pain and disappointments in life and I want to share my story with others because I know that God will use me to help others heal that way he healed me!

#3 Gift, Giving (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I consider myself a giving person. I feel that I have a high level of empathy and feel compassion for those that are hurting, lost and struggling with things of this world. I feel that I have been blessed and I am thankful everyday of all the blessings that I have in my life. There was a time that I didn’t feel like that and I know how it feels to feel hurt, lost and struggle with things of this world. I want to share what I did and how I was able to overcome these things. I am still working on myself. Its a never ending battle that you go through but knowing that God is there, by your side, is the best feeling in the world! I found my joy and I want to share it with others!

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Making my kids happy by being a happy mom

2. Treating everyone with respect and love and not expecting it in return

3. working on myself and learning more about myself….growing spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with teenagers! I feel that at that age, you are trying to figure out who you are…so its interesting to see that and it brings me joy to help them see a more clearer picture of who they can be…and bringing their self-esteem up is the best feeling in the world for me.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

The need that concerns me the most is domestic abuse and the affects it has on the children and the abused partner. I want to be a person that helps break that cycle of abuse…I’m working on myself to be a better self and then go out and help others who are hurting and in despair behind closed doors.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I went through a very toxic abusive relationship with a man who hurt my soul and I asked God to help me and take me away from that person and that I would follow him. I asked God to guide and show me a better way. He started to do that and I started to see the changes and manifestations of his power! I surrendered to him and I just want to follow his teachings and be more like he wants me to be and no of this world anymore.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

No church…currently serving at MyCommunity Church in Mt. Pocono

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Giving birth to my two kids

Waking up from the slumber that I was in while in an abusive relationship and being able to break free from that!

Becoming a Youth Leader at MyCommunity Church and being part of something bigger than me and growing spiritually everyday!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up in an abusive household – learning to forgive my mother…let go and love myself 100%

Being in abusive relationships and overcoming those relationships and the affect they had on me. Learning to put myself first…to love myself 100% and to heal from those wounds

Seeing and gone through so much pain like watching my boss get killed in front of me at the age of 17 to not knowing my dad until I was 12 (for 2 weeks) and not seeing him again…only through social media 30 years later. Watching my brother battle drug addiction and being abusive towards women. Being treated poorly because you do not know your worth. Getting molested and raped at a young age and thinking and feeling that its all your fault.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Reach out to others by sharing my story and help those that are going through what I have been through. Open a You Tube Channel and do counseling work to break the cycle of abuse

4. Travel to poor countries to help people in need by helping them to learn how to love themselves and live life to the fullest. I would teach what I have learned and I would council others in their journey for a better self

5. I would write a book about my story and talk about it at churches, schools and places where people are hurting the most like prisons, mental hospitals , run away homes…etc
