Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Being a wife and mother

2. Being part of a small group that worships God and grows together in Him and holds each other accountable

3. Being an encouragement to others

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I have worked in high school youth ministry for close to 11 years. I love this age group and young adults. I also have enjoyed being in and even leading some women’s ministry groups. Scott and I have also led small groups together (adults). I guess I enjoy working with a variety of ages.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

HS or young adult ministry
With this whole church plant thing, I’m not really sure what all the needs will be, but I’m excited to see where God’s going to use me.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I recognized at a very young age (4 1/2) that I was a sinner who needed Jesus’ forgiveness and asked Him to be my Savior at a backyard Five Day Club that my mom was leading. I grew up in AWANA and involved in my youth group, but at times, I was lukewarm at best. The summer between my junior and senior years in high school, I had the life changing experience of going on an evangelistic drama team with Teen Missions International to Australia. It was there that I rededicated my life to Christ and really became more serious about my Christian walk. There were a few ups and downs in my young adulthood, but I ended up at Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows where I not only met my husband , but I also grew like I never had before. God’s clear leading and a new job for Scott led us to the Quad Cities close to eleven years ago.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

HBC Rolling Meadows- Women’s Ministry Table leader -2 years (2004/2005 – 2005/2006 ?)
Small group co-leader (2005-2007 ?)

HBCD- High School Student Ministry (2007-2018)
Small group co-leader (2007-2008)
Women’s Ministry apprentice and table leader ( on and off from 2007-2015 ?)
Usher/ communion- the past several years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The missions trip to Australia that I mentioned in my brief testimony

My time living in Chicago and attending Rolling Meadows

Trusting God in our move to the Quad Cities and watching Him provide

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up in a home with a Christian mom and an unbelieving dad- My dad cheated on my mom for years, but she stayed with him until his death.

I lost my dad when I was 25 years old.

Involved in an unhealthy relationship that ended badly in my young adulthood
