God has placed me in various teaching capacities over the years & has shown me how to share the things God has taught me. I enjoy helping others to understand & apply God’s word in the daily lives.

God has blessed me as I have stepped out in faith to give back a small percentage of what he has given me. I can’t out give God & it’s a joy to give.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Social work: helping others through my work. Explaining things in a way they understand & encouraging them through the tough times. Matching children to “forever” families & working with them through the process to adoption.

2. Singing & praising God through song. Also, through drama or dramatic readings.

3. Teaching, preaching, & facilitating groups.

Social worker in adoptions.

Other jobs I have experience in:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice doing therapy. Also, therapist in boy’s homes. Social worker in CPS. Taught ESL. Worked in a super market, fast food, restaurant, etc.

Special talents/skills that I have:

Teaching, writing, singing, drama, & reaching people where they are to help them grow into what God has planned for them.

I have taught a class or seminar on:

Foster/adoptive parent preparation, parenting, adoption process to coworkers, etc. Several other topics as needed. Also, have preached a few times at church.

I feel my most valuable personal asset is:

I am able to forgive & give grace freely since I need a lot of grace too. Also, I’m quite outgoing & truly enjoy people.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was stubborn & rebellious, not believing there was a God at all. He met me where I was & showed me differently. He showed me His pure love & changed my life forever.

CCC-Teaching, preaching, leading Bible studies, singing, drama, taught children’s church, handled finances, board member, etc.

Having my sons. Being a parent is the hardest & most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

Becoming a grandma is pure joy!

Obtaining my MSW. Rising above obstacles to obtain a college degree higher than anyone in my family, especially after barely graduating from HS, taught me lessons that no one can take away.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Witnessing domestic violence in my young childhood. Also, father’s alcohol abuse & mother’s mental health issues.

Parent’s divorce when I was 8 & resulting move to California with my mom.

Getting divorced in 1991.
