[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. writing- poems, journals, short stories, and devotions pertaining on the situations on my life daily along with scripture to back it up

2. exercising – swimming, walking with God around my lake, beach, or mall. working out on a stand still bike.

3. spending time with my family- grandchildren, friends, and the fellowship of Celebrate Recovery.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work most with the mentally disturbed persons who were once normal but through abuse, drugs, physical, mental, or accidental. That recovery is possible through Christ our Lord.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Kairos Ministry, Homeless Ministry, and Into the Jordan Ministry. What concerns me is that they don’t have enough step studies.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I believed when I was in drug treatment in Jesus that he rose from the grave because I thought nothing could save me or stop me from using drugs, there had to be something more powerful. And I came to understand what the cross stands for. My grandma always sang Jesus Loves Me and I taught that to my Grandkids.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Grace Church – Homeless Ministry, Kairos, Celebrate Recovery,
Wesley Church – Prayer team for Kairos April 2018

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

That I survived through a GI bleed, 3 strokes,

I got two years clean- the most time I ever put together and 10 months of that was in the hospital 2016.

Going to Grief Share as I mourned my grandson’s passing and turned it into a positive cause I help other people now whose lost a child.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going to jail – psych ward, realizing I was really sick and I needed more treatment because of my past and being molested as a child by a close family member.

Going to a mental institution – psych ward

Being on the streets selling my body, dealing with men, drug dealers, the girls on the streets

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Helping women who were in human trafficking and being a missionary

4. Going into a state mental institution to people who were once normal and were a productive member of society and let them know there is hope and a loving father that loves them.

5. Running women’s group, I would want to have a place for women to go if they didn’t have a roof where they can shower, get clean clothes and a meal
