My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in half a Christian Home. We went to church every Sunday, plus vacation Bible School and other church activities. I accepted Christ when I was 16 after several Sunday services of doubt (do I really want to do this?) I was very shy and it was a long way from the pew to the pastor. Because the baptistery was not working, I was baptized in a river.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Youth Service Speaker, North Pamunkey Baptist Church, Orange, Virginia (just once in late 60’s)

Taught a few adult classes at First Presbyterian Church, Kinston, N.C. in late 1980’s early 1990.

Taught some adult classes at First Baptist Church, Rouse Road, Kinston, N.C. in 1990’s

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Mrs. Almontrout, seventh grade math teacher. She said I was good at math.

Annual trout fishing. The year I caught my limit.

High school drama/English class

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Mrs. Stargeal, 6th and 7th grade teacher of spelling, health, P.E. and English. She gave me a 0 on a home work assignment because she thought I had gotten someone else to do the work. She was wrong. I proved it but she never apologized.

Fathers death

Drug/Alcohol abuse. There are a lot of alcoholics in my family tree.
