S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Billy Rybka for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Teaching (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God called me to be a teacher of His word. I can assist people in doing background tasks but my real heart is to teach the word of God and apply it to the believers everyday life so that they can live more of a bible based life! It brings me so much Joy to teach and encourage people to know Jesus more.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God wants me to share the gospel with unbelievers so they can see and experience the Love of God and come to know Him as Lord of their life. I want to share not only to share the gospel but the stories that God has given me to exalt the name of Jesus.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God wants to use me to encourage and challenge people to know him more.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love making teaching videos that focus on applying the word of God to the believer’s daily lives while at the same time challenging them to live radically abandoned for the things that God is calling them to do.

2. Encouraging people in the body of Christ to know him more and to give them loving and wise counsel. I love learning about peoples lives by hearing their hearts, by doing that I can encourage them or challenge what they are thinking or doing. This makes me excited.

3. I also love to share the gospel with people who don’t know Christ. Sharing the hope of Jesus to someone who is hopeless brings me so much fulfillment and excitement. I would love to share the Gospel all of my life so that people can know the name of Jesus

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with people who have a desire to know more about Jesus and who are teachable. I can’t identify a specific age group, I just love people. Working with children is not my forte though.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love the Idea of preaching to crowds in a relational way and leading outreaches like homeless ministry and missions trips. Relationship is my big thing, so if the ministry lacks relationship then I lose most if not all excitement.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

When I was 17, a kid named Ryan asked me to join a bible club he started at school. I said no, I didnt really believe in God. He kept talking to me and I missed my bus, a girl that I liked at the time was going to the Bible study, so I decided that I should go. During the Bible study, Ryan shared the gospel and it changed my life forever. I started to go to Church with Him and after a few years, I am here at Bible college pursuing a life of ministry.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I served as a youth leader at Awaken Church in Rome New York for 1 year.

I did homeless ministry with streets for Christ in Rochester for 1 year.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Breaking my neck, it gave me a whole new outlook on life and suffering.

Hitting rock bottom, this wasn’t fun but it was what brought me to a place where I was willing to give my everything to Jesus, shortly after that I came to Elim.

Going to Elim, this changed my life. I didn’t know what it was like to follow Christ until I came here and started to be trained in the Bible. This experience will forever impact my life. Another reason why it has impacted my life is that I met my future wife here. My life will never be the same because if Elim.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Sex Addiction, I know how bad it can get and I have compassion on others who are struggling with it.

Breaking my neck, it gave me a whole new outlook on life and suffering.

Divorced parents, this gave me compassion for people going through it and it has motivated me to deal with things in my own realtionship with my Fiance.
