[E]xperience
When I was younger, I attended the small non-denominational church. At times, I was the only one who would walk to church to hear the Word of God. I continued from Sunday School to youth group. When I was 17, my parents divorced and could not understand why something like this would happen to me. Being an angry at God, I walked away from my faith. In my young adult years, I felt that being Agnostic was the best for me while I learned of other religions to see if I felt a belonging to them. I met my husband and we decided to have children. After a year of not conceiving, I was diagnosed with PCOS. This makes it difficult and very expensive to conceive. A few years later, I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. The panic attacks were almost daily and was hard to stay focused when I believed I was a failure. Later, I was diagnosed with Depression. I felt helpless. I felt lonely. I felt empty. That’s when the Holy Spirit entered in and I asked my younger sister-in-law if I could join her at church. The sermon spoke to me. At that moment in time, I felt it was specific to me. God was speaking to me. After that sermon, I knew I belonged with my Lord. He was calling me back and I answered. I have been a member of the church since November.
