#1 Gift, Evangelism (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am very good at planting seeds in people’s hearts and minds about Christ. I have grown up surrounded by unbelievers and have continued to stay strong and grow in my faith, as I love talking about God to those who do not yet know Him, and sparking something in their souls.

#2 Gift, Teaching (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:

I am a very good listener and enjoy giving comfort to those who need it, and responding in a way that relates to God and His word.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love music and I love to sing. I love expressing thoughts and emotions with sound.

2. I love traveling, being in new places and experiencing new things. I love to adventure and witness more of God’s creation.

3. I love photography. I love capturing moments in creative ways and sharing them with others. It brings me joy to have a physical copy of a feeling I felt.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with people who are adventurous, inviting, warm and motivating. Age would range between my age and up, about 19-25 years old.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

What I’m most interested in, in the church would be creating an environment that unbelievers and people who are unfamiliar with God can feel accepted in, and feel like they belong or want to know more. I think it is important to find a way to spread the good word to everyone either individually or as a group.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was born and raised in a Christian home. I always felt I had Christ in my heart. I made sure I surrendered my life to Him when I was 10. From there I had many ups and downs. Through junior high and high school I was distracted and did not think often enough about God, nor did I read the bible hardly ever. After going through a very hard three years, being depressed, emotionally abused and suicidal, I attended my regular summer camp and was given a message I had received in the past, but never truly understood. I was not putting in the effort I needed to grow in Christ, and after hearing it all week at camp, a fire was finally started in my soul. Since then I have been on a journey to create an intimate relationship with God, and do do His will by spreading the word to others and changing lives.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

God spoke to me during my final week at summer camp, which has changed the course of my faith for the last year. He told me many times throughout that week that having a relationship with Him requires effort on my end, and it finally clicked in my mind. Since then I have had a hunger that can’t shake.

I have attended a worship night ,multiple times that really gave me a boost whenever I needed it. God spoke to me many times there through the services, and I felt His presence when I worshiped Him. It gave me a feeling to chase and encouraged me to keep pushing through my journey with God.

I told my best friend when we were very young about Jesus. I prayed for her over the phone when she was struggling with her parents divorce. She told me that night she felt a peaceful presence with her in the room. Since then she has recently grown into a strong woman of God, and has set a very good example for myself and others. I admire her and her hunger for God. She has been another inspiration and motivation to work on myself and on my relationship with God. She teaches me how to be more like Him, and I got to be a part of her story. That has left a huge impact on me.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Through my years of high school, I lived with my brother, my mother and her boyfriend. He was emotionally abusive to all of us and I struggled very much in that living environment. Those few years changed me, and tested my faith in God. Many of these feelings led to suicidal thoughts.

I dealt with and am still dealing with self image issues. I have spent over five years feeling depressed and worthless because of it. Many of these feelings lead to suicidal thoughts.

One thing that has always been a huge part of my life is poverty. My family and I have never had a substantial amount of money and have always been on the poverty line. Still to this day, money is an issue both for me and for my family. It is something that has been a huge set back in plans and opportunities for all of us to grow and experience life. This can be (and was/still is) very damaging and oppressive.
