[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up going to church and being involved in church activities. I was saved and baptized when I was six years old. I was young but I am confident that that was the right time for me.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have helped in the kitchen and with communion in the more recent past. Have taught elementary-aged Sunday School classes before and helped with VBS also.

This was at TBC which I have attended since 2004. I grew up going to The First Christian Church of Sedan, KS. Moved from Sedan in 1996. Attended a few other churches in the area sporadically between those times.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I do not have a very good memory and cannot think of any specific events that have shaped me.

I am a bit of a “tree-hugger” which I feel is a good thing, but don’t know what made me so passionate about “creation care”. I think that it is all a gift from God and we need to take care of it better.

I feel it is important to live a simple life and TRY to follow “the Golden Rule” because that is what it all boils down to.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My parent’s divorce and moving to a new town when I was six.

I know this is probably not what this question is talking about, but I feel that most of my increased negativity in recent years is caused by social media and feel that is relatable with others as we are all dealing with that lately.

I have a REAL HARD TIME with the question about why do bad things happen to the innocent and feel pretty helpless and hopeless when faced with this issue. There was no one negative experience, just seeing it on the daily.

3. I’m not one who could be considered “overly ambitious”. To travel.

4. I definitely like the thought of volunteering in some way … but nothing specific stands out. Wherever/Whatever is needed.

5. I would love to be part of a missionary trip. But also any language barriers scare me.
