S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Marilea Lightner for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

1. I love the gift of hospitality. I enjoy opening my home to others.
2. Spending time with my family is one of my greatest joys. My grandchildren and children delight my heart.
3. Since recently becoming a widow, I enjoy helping other widows. I understand the need to have an extra person to help out and spend time with.
Probably 7-10 year olds. Enjoy spending time with other senior women.
I enjoy being a greeter and part of the prayer team. I don’t have a problem calling someone and praying individually for their request. Concern is that church communication be consistent and current.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in a very loving Italian Catholic home. When my sweet mother was dying (80) she said to me ‘do you think I did enough to go to heaven?’ She lead such a humble and giving life I couldn’t believe she didn’t know the truth. It broke my heart and at that point I wanted to make sure no one I knew or loved felt that way again or doubled their eternity. I began learning the Bible and became baptized in the ocean when we moved here 15 years ago.
Worked for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church/Roswell, Ga. as administrative assistant to their education staff.
Organized a Married Life Live event for another church here in Bluffton, SC
Participated 3 years in The Journey at Compassion Church, Savannah, GA.
Traveling in person to hear Anne Graham Lotz several times. Priscilla Shirer training in person.
Women’s retreats with other Christian women. Learned true fellowship. I also love hosting a women’s Bible Study in my home.
Mentor Mom for several years for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). I recently started doing Meals on Wheels which has shown me how blessed I am.
Not being welcomed at a local church here. It challenged me to think where their hearts really are.
People who call themselves Christians yet are unforgiving and show no humility.
Feeling unworthy in my past by a Catholic Priest for my choosing to marry a divorced man. His superiority was very unsettling for me. Almost left the church.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Pay for all my grandchildren’s Christian educations. Financially help family.
4. Have a retreat home for caregivers…replenish their empty emotional and physical pots.
5. Financially help more widows and struggling families.
