S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Amanda Augustine for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Evangelism (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am able to speak to others about what God has done for me in my life. I want others to know that no matter what they have done that God loves them.`

#2 Gift, Teaching (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am good with younger people, such as kids and teens, but I am able to do so more when it is a smaller group rather then a large crowd.

#3 Gift, Administration (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am able to keep track of things fairly well by writing things down and putting things into my calendar. If I am unaware of when something is or do not have all the details I reach out to people who may know more about what is going on.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to sit with someone and just talk. I want to know more about people. I want to be able to see them at their worst and at their best. If people are willing to share with me the inner workings of their brain then I feel like that is not only them being able to open up but them being comfortable around me to tell me what is going on and reach out. I want to be able to learn about people and understand how I can help them grow and be a better person even in the smallest aspects of their life.

2. I love being able to work with animals. I want to be able to educate people on how to care for and love their animals that they have so not only that person but their animals can have the best life. Animals to me are more than just pets, they are a form of comfort. I know that many people love animals and it is a way we can all connect.

3. I love being able to serve. I love to go and help people. If that means helping someone move or going out and preparing and serving food for those who do not have food then that is what I will do. I want everyone to know that they are loved, no matter what their background or their current situation is.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Teenagers and sometimes children

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love working in youth ministry. I also enjoy working in children’s ministry from time to time.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
