Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Worship: even though I don’t have a great singing voice, I love singing praises to my God.

2. Being with my family and spending time with them.

3. Being outside on beautiful days to bask in the creation our loving Father has placed all around us.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

People who love to share ideas, and accept ideas freely. People who don’t like to be in the lime light or want all the credit. I like to be with teens on up. I believe all age groups have something to offer and can teach me things as well as me teaching them things.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love serving with our youth and helping in our Hands of Hope ministry. I am concerned about our military and their families and the homelessness that is occurring in our communities.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My husband and I were at a business conference and went to the church service on Sunday morning. Other times that we have gone, I have enjoyed hearing people’s testimonies and worshipping. At this particular time, we were expecting our daughter and I wanted more for her than we had growing up. We both accepted Christ that weekend.

Children’s ministry at McChord AFB Church. 1994 -1998ish

Youth ministry at RLFC in Tacoma, drama ministry, choir

Catalyst youth, Hands of Hope, admin, elder wife,

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Having my grandparents as an example of not only being Christ followers, but being an example of how a great marriage can be. They were married for over 60 years before my grandfather passed away.

Having my kids. They have both challenged me in different ways to grow and learn outside of my comfort zone and to think outside the box at times.

Having my best friend be my partner in marriage and life. We have both grown so much in our time together. We challenge each other, learn from one another and I can always count on my honey to encourage me and love me through whatever challenges or triumphs we are facing.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being in financially tight circumstances at times that have come from stepping out to do new things. My husband got laid off, but went back to school. That was a hard 3 years of being the only working partner.

Getting pregnant with our daughter at a fairly young age and not yet married was a challenge. Being able to forgive myself and move on from the shame I felt during that time helps me to sympathize with others who have struggled with choices they have made.

Being a military brat as helped me to have compassion for our military and families because of knowing about being separated for months at a time.
