[E]xperience
I attended a Christian school and went to church weekly and I had heard many sermons and yet my heart was hardened to Christ. As a young married mom we were invited to an old time dinner on the grounds and sing on a Sunday afternoon. Once hearing the ladies sing with such passion and truth, my heart was stirred. I realized that they had a peace that I most definitely did not. That afternoon I spoke to the pastor and asked Jesus to come into my heart and save me and change me from the inside out. I was changed that day and my life showed it! My boys had a new mom and my husband received a new wife.

Going to undergrad and grad school enabled us to meet some of the most extraordinary people who are splashing Jesus all over the world.
Separation from our extended family for 20 years while in school and serving in local churches made my relationship with my husband strong.
I have been on numerous mission fields and had amazing opportunities to grow and learn that I would have never had if I had not choose Christ.
Our 20 year old son passed away from cancer in 2012. Walking through his diagnosis, 2 transplants and death have given us a compassion for families who are hurting from illness and death.
We loved on people that didn’t look like “regular church members” where we were serving and we were fired because of that. (Migrant workers, people of different race)
