S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Karen Conner for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am often sympathetic almost to a fault and I try very hard to protect those I know and love even when letting things just happen, might be better for that person.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t mind jumping in and doing things. I often have trouble saying no even if it overextends me. That causes me some mental and physical exhaustion at times but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I need to be needed.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to receive encouragement, so I try to extend it to others whenever possible. It hurts my heart to see someone verbally or emotionally struggle, so I want to ease that whenever possible.
[H]eart
1. Cooking and baking
2. Talk and listen with others
3. Fill a need when I am able
probably more college ages and up through senior adults
More support type roles. Although I grew up in church I’ve always felt like my biblical knowledge is lacking too much to really lead effectively.
Abortion/sanctity of Life
Marriage/family issues
Other – I can’t help wanting to love on young people. To show them they can overcome their circumstances and that with little effort, I will believe in them and do my best to help.
[A]bilities
I assist in the management of multiple medical clinics and assist with provider credentialing for clinics and hospitals.
I’ve worked in this field for 25 years now, so running a medical office and coding are what I’ve done since being a young adult.
I love to cook and bake and I look for opportunities to share that with others.
I taught classes in children’s ministry and youth ministry in the past.
When I’m asked to perform a certain task, I tend to research when needed to make sure that I can do it with all my ability and complete it efficiently and be of help.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
Became a Christian as a child watching my parent give and love on others. I wanted to have that peace within myself.
Cross Roads Church, Ruston, LA now The Bridge Community Church
Simsboro Baptist Church
When serving at Crossroads, I was serving in a minor role but with my husband. I enjoyed being able to share that with he and our family.
As a youth small group leader for a group of girls at The Bridge, I enjoyed being there for those girls regardless of the difficulties they were facing through jr high and high school.
I was often concerned as a leader that I wasn’t giving them enough bible truth, but rather providing a place they could come and be comfortable with doses of GOD’s love and teaching. I always felt like I wasn’t really giving them tools to use with others to further God’s purpose.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I would share my love for cooking with others to teach them a life skill that has served me well.
4. To give to others at will rather than being guarded in my spending.
5. To open my home anytime for fellowship and community relationships
