S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Bonnie Jakub for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

1. At my job, finding the right shoes for the elderly, mentally challenged, physically restrained, or just those who need more patience is fulfilling for me. and then educate them, and send them on their way. this way, the next time they shop, they will know what to look for. so, i love to show compassion, teach, and deploy.
2. I love being outdoors, connecting with nature. it’s revitalizing. it’s grounding. refreshing. I used to love photographing the awesome vastness and contrast with the tiny. Interjecting humans into that space, who bring the contrast within them, and capturing that conflict on film used to be so rewarding.
3. My grandchildren. I have always wanted children, but that didn’t happen. So i focus on my grandchildren when i have the opportunity.
I’m not exactly sure. I prefer adults, but finding someone who has similar likes as I do, is very difficult. I have a hard time connecting with teenagers, but young children between 3-10 is awesome for short periods of time. I am a little sketchy about the very old (80’s and up), as my mother is driving me nuts right now. After 15 years of senior care giving, I’m tired of it. (although well informed about many aspects). I like an optimistic, upbeat, “lets keep doing so we can kick it back and enjoy it” attitude / type.
none. right now, I need to learn and to grow. i would love to be part of community projects, but my work schedule (retail) conflicts with the mainstream (9-5), so I miss most of the scheduled events.
Marriage/family issues
Abuse/violence
Other – Environmental protection and use to provide a safe and healthy future for our children and our food.
[A]bilities
Assistant Manager at a 20,000 square foot shoe store.
*Dental Assistant/lab work/clerical support/front desk
*Receptionist/Front Desk for multiple corporations/mail room/part of the facility management dept. Also, hotels, temp agencies, and specifically hired for one night corporate events. I am very good with phones, and directing people where to go.
*Retail sales for shoes (in store training by podiatrists, and other professionals in the field); Nature Company; Lingerie (before it went mainstream). Every boss said that I am a very customer service oriented person. I was more about making the customer happy, than I was about the price of the sale.
*Photography: lead photographer, assistant photographer, set up/ clean up crew (intern). Getting that “moment” on a child’s face was the best.
*Direct Sales/Network Marketing: candles, household goods, kitchen wares, make up, currently looking into digestive health oils
*Cleaning horses stalls, and fed them. That job only lasted 2 weeks.
I can help people feel comfortable. Animals too.
Photography basics; framing, using natural lighting, and fill flash
Artistic pen stroke techniques
I used to compete in speech and safety talks. And win. One of the fun games I used to do to prepare was to write a speech 20 minutes before presenting it.
I don’t do any public speaking anymore.
My honesty. Don’t ask me a question if you don’t want hear my opinion. I can be a little harsh.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I missed recess to accept Jesus as my Savior. Then 40 years later, I rededicated my life to Christ and got baptized.
Presbyterian Churches while growing up and when I first got married in 1992. All in Ohio. Children’s choir, Worthington. Plays, Solon. Lots of ushering and greeting, Parma.
Bethel Temple, Parma, Ohio. Early 2000’s. Adult Choir (tenor, but don’t ask me what the actual note is, I just followed along). Designed and created stage sets for plays, Easter and Christmas or any scene the pastor wanted. Photographed worship, lessons, community, baptisms and growth to be used as the church needed. Brought snacks and impromptu lunches for the families working to get Sunday’s worship lighting and sound ready. I was always asked if I would like to help, like family should.
Journey, Fairview Park, Ohio. Helped create a stage for a play. When available, I was allowed to fold brochures or sort papers. I did greet for awhile, and then I was asked to work in the nursery. And I had done some ushering.
North Royalton, Ohio. 2018 First Impressions team.
Helping others connect to the right people.
Giving someone the opportunity to feel wanted and welcome in our church. 4 years later, during my depression, I was told what an impact it had on him and his family.
Having my life skills appreciated and used for the growth of the church.
The enemy will attack you personally when you grow in a positive environment. He attacked everyone at basic levels. Unraveling any foundation that I contributed to. Being wary of others, allows you to step back and study the entire situation. It also provides an opportunity to see outside influences.
A new environment doesn’t mean they will give you the same appreciation or opportunities. I just have to try and fit in again. Find a new nitch, a place to belong. Its hard to be judged by who you know, instead of who you are when you first join a new environment.
There are very few who will admit to having a similar history as I do. When we will connect, we will be able to help each other grow Biblically. I have no qualms about my past, but for someone to trust me, I must keep it low key.
Short term expressions of warmth in a greeting is a great start, but shallow. Getting through my depression (alone) was not easy. A person in a depression does not reach out. They need to be reached towards and invited to be included. Being wanted to be a part of a group at any function, does not come from the stage. I’m not completely free from my depression, so I am not sure what to look for in a person who feels withdrawn and emotionally hiding. (I was a greeter and didn’t really know anyone. when I tried to connect out of service, my efforts fell flat. When I got invited to someone’s house, I got scared.) I don’t know how to cover that gap.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. To help create environmental break throughs like creating an irrigation system for a village that is self substaining with fish fertilizing the water and Banyon trees surrounding the fields (to hold the water there).
4. where my photography/artwork would reflect God’s gifts and challenges to embrace both in nature and in humans.
5. To become a mother to my very own children.
