S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Kimberly Simmons for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
From a very young age, I often ended up in the role of motivator, encourager and advice giver, amongst my peers. My desire to help build people up has been so strong that it has made me more tolerable/patient with challenging personality types and outweighed the difficulties that can come along with trying to lift up people who are discouraged/doubtful.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy setting goals, putting in place an action plans and delegating tasks amongst myself and teammates in a way that utilizes our strengths in order to achieve the goal. Also, I am most successful at managing projects when I keep thorough records that are well organized, so that vital information is easily accessible/understandable when I need to reference it as I work towards completion.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Occasionally, in conversation with loved ones, I’ll spout things out that I think might happen without even really processing it, because I just “have a feeling”, and often it actually does come to pass. Most recently, I had a coworker worried about meeting with her tax preparation person, because in previous years, she has ended up owing money. I told her that this time, there would be a nice tax return check waiting for her. She texted me later in shock, because she did end up getting a check. Also, I have had complex/metaphorical dreams that I have had trouble interpreting since childhood. In real life when I experience what feels likes dejavu, I believe it’s aspects of some of my dreams coming to pass.

1. Singing. Singing is therapeutic for me and feels like the most effective way I communicate my gratefulness to God, even more so than just speaking the same words. I feel so close to God when I sing to Him privately, as well as with my HD church family during praise and worship.
2. Relating. Relating to others through transparent conversations about life struggles and triumphs brings me genuine fulfillment. Giving people the grace to make mistakes and learn from them is so important to me, because being given that courtesy in my life has made me a kinder person, amongst other things.
3. Traveling. I have traveled domestically and abroad, both by myself and in groups. I’m so thankful for the experiences of sharing insightful perspectives, learning rich history, going on fun adventures, eating delicious food, and even worshipping with individuals from an array of cultures rooted in places way beyond the borders of my neighborhood.
I enjoy working with millennials, which likely ties into my love of relating. However, in my career, my most responsive clients have been pre-teens struggling with understanding issues related to transitioning into adolescence.
Praise and worship, photography, videography, social media marketing,
Other – Mental health issues, bullied individuals, self critical individuals.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
