#1 Gift, Giving (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have no real attachment to anything material so giving of things, monetary and otherwise feels natural. Giving of myself and time fullfills me and falls into my interest in serving others as my love for Christ grows deeper every day.

#2 Gift, Teaching (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I consider myself a natural leader and take on the teaching role in coop homeschool environments as well as small groups and even one on one situations with friends.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This one surprised me at first until I thought about it more completely. It makes perfect sense why I fall into this cagegory given my past transgressions and excitement and gratitude I have for all that Jesus did to get me where I am now. Not a second goes by when I don’t want to shout out to someone, anyone or everyone, all that is amazing about God.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was mostly convinced in hind sight by all that God did to protect me through a trauma filled childhood and a tumultuous young adulthood. When I survived addiction and overcame felony charges and prison time, I became convicted and finally able to recognize all that God did to help me reach the other side. I needed something in my life and mostly realized I was missing somewhere to place my glory. I asked Jesus into my heart as a teen but renewed everything last year at BSCC by getting baptized a few months after returning from my first women’s encounter weekend.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

BSCC: Women’s Encounter, cookie deliveries, on the move weekends and Kidventure teaching, clubhouse, kids club and summer fest. Small group leader. Since about 2013

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Overcoming addiction.

Becoming involved in small groups and flourishing relationships with other Christians.

All things related to being a mother: having kids, dealing with my oldest son’s disabilities and exceptionalism and deciding to homeschool.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My moms death and long illness

My dad’s abuse.

My addiction

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Providing love and shelter for kids in need.

4. Giving it all away but keeping plenty of space and food to spend time in fellowship with others

5. Learning as much scripture as possible and spending all my time in prayer without feeling like I was neglecting someone or something
