[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Try to make the cancer journey a little easier for the next mom–especially spiritually.

2. Use words of knowledge (via prayers/visions) to exhort others using scripture.

3. Unpack the truths of scripture or prayer to someone else–igniting their passion for God’s word–and especially its application.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Cancer families–moms ages 25-55

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Caring Ministry (hospital visitation); women’s ministry; understanding/and walking in the tension between the grounding of God’s Word and the uplifting of the Holy Spirit

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a Christian home–when I was young I had an experience at VBS where I gave my life to Jesus. I grew in faith via AWANA, youth group and summer camp experiences.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

CPKC Bible Study Leader June 2020-present; CPKC Admin/active participant April 2017-present

In home fellowship Bible study facilitator Sept 2017 – Jan 2021

Youth group leader 1997-2000 North Coast Calvary Carlsbad; Administrative helper 2011-2013 Refuge church in American Canyon

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Choosing Wheaton > YWAM – completely changed the trajectory of my life, my marriage–every subsequent choice.

Hume Lake Christian Camps – completely shaped my faith, made it real and developed my dependence on God

#3 (last box glitched out on me): Becoming a mother sooner than I thought completely changed my life!!!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Experiencing many unemployment and relocation challenges for my husband’s work. We have been so uprooted and restarted more times than I ever thought.

Our pastor’s death in 2012–we had to rally as a church–and it greatly taught me thankfulness and perseverance in the face of tragedy

My son’t leukemia diagnosis in 2017–completely altered the course of my life. The big feelings and big changes inspire me to help other moms that find themselves here.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To operate or help found a national ministry that can really make a difference in the lives and eternities of many. I would like to equip people and churches for faithful ministry to the hurting.

4. Be a Christian author.

5. Be a dedicated mother and wife–I know these other things fight to take time from them. I really want to be inspiring to my family and devote myself to them.
