[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spending time with my family

2. Gardening

3. Cooking & Baking

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I have worked within the children & youth ministry. I have been the Children’s Church Superintendent, a youth leader and Guild Leader. Currently I work with the aged care sector and I find that I am enjoying making a difference to the lives of our older community.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Although I have no insight into the finances or running of the Church, I suspect that this is a challenging task. It is important to me that the Church is around for future generations and that we have the means to meet the changing environment surrounding us.
Attracting families and young adults to the Church excites me
I am a helper and always willing to pick up and help with projects. It is important to me that people see that Church is not only about Sunday services but a lifestyle.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I committed my life to the Lord at 13 at a High School Christian Camp. From the beginning of my walk with Jesus I wanted to give back and be part of my Christian family. I enjoy being a Christian, learning more, understanding the Word and I’m a firm believer in Walking the Talk rather than Talking the Talk.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Methodist Church Potchefstroom South Africa – Youth Leader, Sunday School teacher & Sunday School Superintendent – 25 years

While living in Auckland for the past 9 years I have never felt that I had found my forever Church, as a result I was not involved in any service

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Marriage

Children

Immigrating to NZ

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Loss of a child

Bad business experience due to circumstances out of my control

Blended family, I am a stepmother – this has been both a positive & negative experience
