Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

At my confirmation in sixth grade I sincerely made my commitment to Christ. I had been nurtured throughout my childhood in a strong Christian family and wonderful Methodist Churches, attending Sunday School, youth group, church camps, singing in the choir and being instructed in the faith. I took my commitment seriously, remaining in bible study classes throughout high school, college and my entire adult life.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Jr. High UMYF leader( 1977-1981) Sr. High UMYF leader(1986-1990) Director of Christian Education (1990-1998) at Liverpool First United Methodist Church, Liverpool, NY

UMYF leader (1982-1985), Jr. /Sr. High Sunday School teacher (1983-1985) at Old Orchard United Methodist Church, Cherry Hill, NJ

Chairman of Christian Education at PVUMC (3 years), teaching Wednesday night classes (parenting, health topics)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Teaching at a Catholic high school, being able to share my faith while I was teaching biology

Singing in Christian groups: church choirs, Sage Chapel Choir and a Christian folk/rock group at Cornell

Attending church camps as a child and youth, and numerous retreats as an adult

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Death of our one year old daughter having open heart surgery for a congenital heart defect (in 1985)

Husband losing his job, requiring us to move far from family

Developing Disembarkment Syndrome (a rare balance disorder) as a result of an cruise to Alaska, which impacts my ability to fully participate in many activities
