S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Evelyn Edine Harkins for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Evangelism (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to reach out to the lost and share what God has done for me and to let them know what God has done and will do in their lives and to see them come to Him. I love to share God’s Word with others and see the mighty Hand of God reach down and move in a mighty way in the lives of others as His Truth is revealed to them..

#2 Gift, Giving (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It is such a pleasure to give of what God has given to me. We can’t outgive God..I have compassion on others and when God moves on my heart to let me know someone is in need then it is time to give and give gladly and in humility and love. God supplies all our needs and I feel we should give freely and willingly. I love to give..

#3 Gift, Teaching (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It is with love and humility and much prayer that I love to teach..I always feel I don’t do all I should do in teaching, but study much and pray much to be able to share the Word with others that it will help them grow in the Lord and give new insights into His Word and better understanding to them as well as to me..I love the Lord and want to draw closer to Him daily as well as draw other closer to Him through teaching His Word. It is a joy to see others draw closer when I teach and to hear others tell me “that is just what I needed,” so it lets me know God has moved in the life of another through the teaching of the Word they have been moved on..such a blessing.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to read the Bible and Bible lessons and other books that are spiritual and not worldly.

2. I love to share drawings and black light pictures with Bible Stories to accompany them..

3. I love to sing (but not very good at it) as well as go to Prayer meetings and to Pray at home.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with children age 6 to 11 when doing black light pictures as well as teaching Adults (but sometimes feel inadequate as well as not much time to prepare adequately).

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

The Pastoral needs, financial needs, spiritual needs concern me as well as being united spiritually together when making decisions in the church. I am so excited about the youth ministry in our church, the leadership is so outstanding through Sister Keck and Brother Eugene..the growth of the youth class is so exciting and they are working together and willing to help the church and one another…they go to the altar and pray…this is so exciting…love the move of the Spirit when our Pastor preaches and teaches…so uplifting…am somewhat concerned when some make unpleasant remarks and don’t understand why some do not want to share willingly of what God has so freely given to them..just do not understand that..

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Lived a very troubled life, thought I was helping someone else by bringing them to church, felt the presence of God, was convicted when heard the Word and plan of Salvation and obedient to the Word..

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Taught the Youth Class at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Carrollton, MO as well as Special Songs.. was there 4 or 5 years.

Helped teach the Young People’s class ages 5 to 11 at New Life Fellowship Church in Chillicothe, MO as well as helped teach the Adult Sunday School Class and Wednesday Night Bible Study Class part time . attendance there 40+ years.

Attended church in Buffalo, MO for a short time..did not teach class there.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Living a sinful life, was in a car/semi truck head on collision and realized I needed to turn my life around…God healed me and made me able to walk again and see again ..so thankful…

Witnessing to my Mother and seeing her give her life to God, baptized in Jesus Name and receiving the Holy Spirit.

Seeing my daughter and 3 of my grandchildren being Baptized in the Name of Jesus

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Divorce…the experiences through divorce helped me be able to talk with others who have gone through or are going through divorce and help them to come to God and trust Him in our daily walk.

Being hospitalized for several different surgeries..helped me see the compassion and love of others willing to be there for me..and today I am willing to be there for others.

Living on disability and trying to help my daughters get through High School…gave me much compassion on others who are going through trials and hardships…
