Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I because a Christian at age 11, when at Fair Havens Bible Conference. It was there that a speaker challenged those listening as to whether or not they had ever personally received Christ as their Lord and Savior. I had been feeling convicted of the need to be baptized, and in hearing this speaker I realized a deeper need – to surrender my life to the Lord, claiming my faith as my own, and not just something that my family believed.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

West Park Baptist Church: birth to twenties as usher, musician, and worship music leader.

Fair Havens Bible Conference: teens and twenties as custodian, youth and children’s leader (teaching and activities), adult worship music leader (one year), guys dorm leader, and youth praise and prayer leader (several years)

Emmanuel Baptist Church: Worship music director.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My Christian family

Working at Fair Havens Bible Conference

Being mentored by leaders like Glenn Rider, Dave Gast and Dale Dirksen, in addition to my time learning at Briercrest Seminary.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Health challenges: badly sprained ankle, back problems and pelvic pain syndrome (along with accompanying fatigue)

Dealing with the pains and hardships that can come with pastoring a small church family (there are many joys that also come with this, making it very worthwhile!! 🙂

Dealing with the pains and hardships that come in marriage and family life (again, there are so many joys that also come with marriage and parenting that also make them both to be incredibly worthwhile!)

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Being part of leading a movement of people who live to worship God in every part of their lives!

4. Teaching and encouraging people along in all kinds of different ways (church family, small group, 1:1, etc.) when it comes to living to worship God with their lives!

5. Being able to use my worship music abilities to mentor and lead others in praising God.
