I think that God has given me a heart for people and compassion. I enjoy interacting with people and I am always praying that I can show Gods light to the world.

I think that I am sometimes able to word things so that others may understand it better or break down stories or lessons to show Gods love through them. I enjoy telling Bible stories and getting youth excited about what God has for them.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Making other people smile.

2. Seeing something “click” in a child’s mind.

3. Sharing my personal experiences to be able to help someone else.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I like to work with teenagers and tweenagers because I think I have a lot of experience in that area. I enjoy sharing personal experiences with them so that they know they are not alone in their struggles.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Youth Group! VBS! Children’s ministries!I grew up following Christ and it was the best thing for me. I just want the youth of our church to have a resource to go to to see how to follow God when the world pulls them in so many different directions. I know how important it is for a child to know that they are loved and that someone cares about them. VBS and the children’s ministries is an excellent place for kids to go and feel safe, learn about God, and still be able to have fun.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in the church and always knew God was with me and loved me. When I hit high school I realized about senior year I was not living how God wanted me to live and even though I believed I didn’t walk with God so I changed that and I devoted my life to Christ.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Always at CCC. Taught and helped in Sunday school.

Participated and am now co-coordinator for Children’s worship team.

Just began getting involved in Youth Group and leading and helping there.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Whenever I was sad or grouchy growing up my dad would always (and still does) tell me to choose joy. It leads me to be joyful in any circumstance because I know its what I make of it.

Growing up in a Christian home with many many many relatives around to show me how a Christ follower acts and to mold me.

Letting God work through me and gave me the strength to share my personal testimony and seeing that many other young women struggle with the same things that I did.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Losing my grandma at a young age but it helped me better understand at a young age that death isn’t the end it’s a better beginning.

Being in an unevenly yoked relationship that brought me constant stress and constant strain, but now I know that God has a better plan.

I used to only see myself through the eyes of this world. The only thing I cared about was what people thought of me and that lead me to a lot of insecurities and eventually guilt. God brought me out of it and showed me I am enough.
