[E]xperience

I accepted Christ when I was about 5 or 6 and said a prayer with my parents. I was baptized at family camp by my dada and grandpa. I then recommited myself at church camp and was baptized again in 2013 by my youth pastor.

I served in AWANA for about a year and a half at Judson.

I have been a tour guide for VBS for several years.

I was adopted by my amazing parents and lovingly accepted into the whole family.

I met my half-sister and her family and we have been able to visit each other multiple times as well as stay in contact throughout the year.

My family and I visited Guatemala for a missions trip and served at an orphanage as well as other people in different communities of differing levels of wealth.

Being made fun of or insulted about being adopted and being treated differently because of it. It has caused me to take a stronger stance for those who are facing similar treatment because of it or against bullying in general.

Friends going through hard times and it being hard to watch them suffer. I’ve been able to be there for them and encourage them as need be.

Losing my dog Thor was scary and very upsetting but has allowed me to be able to somewhat relate to those who suffer loss. However, I do consider myself to be a fairly empathetic person so I can imagine how one might feel in different situations but now I can actually relate and say I’ve been there.
