S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Keri DeWitt for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I agree that my strongest gift is mercy showing. When confronted by a person suffering some trouble in their lives, I know their situation is more profound than what’s immediately visible. Their pain, actions, and choices stem from personal trauma. They need help, not stigma. No one is immune from addiction and abuse.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I do enjoy helping others out of the darkness. When we suffer trauma, it’s easy to stay stuck and lost. With my career, I want to help people see that their convictions do not define them. When I think back to when I lived in addiction, I do not recognize myself. I completely lost myself. Addiction is a demon. It is more powerful than you; it’s patient, experienced, and always active. I want to help victims recognize that their soul is still within them. But, they will have to go to war to get it back.

#3 Gift, Serving (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I do not go to church, and I do not have a specific religion. I do, however, believe in God and that he put us here for a reason. We have to help each other! Those who think because they are not experiencing poverty, police brutality, addiction, abuse, etc., that it doesn’t affect them. We are all connected, and everything comes full circle. Humans are the only species with morality, yet we debate whether a person deserves necessities, such as healthcare and education. It’s our job to help each other! A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
