S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Laura Tracy for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Serving (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I can’t explain why, it’s just in the deepest part of me, I love to serve others. I love to come behind a leader and do what needs to be done to help them. It feels good to me because I always thought I was a leader and would like to be a leader, but naturally I’m just better at serving.

#2 Gift, Mercy Showing (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This one is simply because I have experienced complete love and forgiveness by people I have hurt deeply in the past. I love to share the freedom that comes with that as opposed to living with guilt and shame for something that has already been forgiven. We are just hurt and broken people and I am thankful I have had Jesus to walk through the hardships of life with me. I can’t even imagine living this life without him, it’s hard even with Him by my side. Mercy Triumphs Over Judgement and man, am I THANKFUL for that!

#3 Gift, Giving (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I grew up with my Granny, my dad and and my mom and bonus dad all being huge givers. All four of them tithed regularly and all of them explained the beauty of giving back to God to me throughout my life. I watched my Granny give her tithing (and offering) when she lived off of $800 a month and didn’t even bat an eye. In fact, she would get anxiety if she didn’t tithe because she fully believed that her left over money wouldn’t be blessed. She would give to Operation Smile for HER birthday present to herself! My parents are THE most generous people I know! My mother comes from a very wealthy family and she gets large monetary gifts every once in a while and instead of remodeling her house or getting fancy things, her and my amazing stepdad give to missionaries, ministries and people in need all the time. There is no way I couldn’t be giving, the people I look up to the most have set a beautiful precedent.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Encouraging others. I love to watch someone go from disheartened and defeated to walking in freedom and forgiveness. I am a very passionate person and when I’m into something big time, it just spills out of me and people almost always jump in to that passion with me.

2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a part of a church family! I thrive on it and when I feel loved and valued for just existing, I want to serve even more. I want to be a part of everything, (almost to a fault according to some). Everyone keeps telling me I’ll get burnt out on church, but I get burnt out when I don’t have that in my life.

3. I love being a mommy. I never wanted to get an education or work a specific job. Since I was young my answer to the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” was always that I just wanted to be a wife and a mom. What a beautiful (and exhausting) thing to get to raise little human beings.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

This has changed throughout my life depending on where I am at. I used to love working with kids and babies ( I still do, just not passionately) and then it was youth/young adults, but now it is with the brokenhearted or discouraged. Any age, but mostly with those in dark places.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I’d love to start something for single moms! I have some really fun ideas in my mind to bless them. This community center has lit a flame in me and I’m raising money for my $1000 contribution and am talking about it to anyone who will listen. This thing is going to potentially change this city and I am excited to be a part of the beginning stages! I’m not going to lie, I am failry nervous for the 4×4 groups starting up as I’m in a place of my life that could be exhausting to others.

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
