Thank you Lorrai Phelps for taking the SHAPE Assessment. Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I was born into a Christian home and made a decision very early. As I grew up I learned more about his ways truly making them my own
Most churches i have attended I have been apart of the worship team and also served where I was needed. Child care or a pare of hands to help clean up or to get stuff done
My time spent on worship teams
Living the simplicity of serving the church
Seeing things done just because they needed doing
Meeting people that are a little different from the majority but love God all the same
I have found that I don’t usually fit in with most of the women in most churches, not that there’s anything “wrong” with most people or with my self were just a bit different and often that leads to misunderstandings. That has made my journey a lonely one. Because of this I have a huge heart for the misunderstood and the misfit. People that don’t easily fit in the typical church culture.
Over the years I have seen how people who are gifted in the prophetic are often pulled into the occult if not accepted by the church. I find this tragic, the church needs these people to function as designed by God. But the prophetic is messy and its impossible to control when the Holy Spirit decides to do a thing. Some church leaders have difficulty with this. As a prophetically gifted person it can be difficult when I’m around Christians who don’t accept or flat out deny God still uses the prophetic in the “modern world”
The amount of disfunction and unbiblical conduct I have seen over the many years in attendance of multiple churches is, well, difficult to distil in a short space. I seem to disrupt the statce qou as I walk through life. I don’t want to or mean to, as far as I can tell it seems to be hard wired in to call it like I see it. As these situations come up I understand more and more that God very wisely put several rules and practices in the Bible and if followed would quickly and easily resolve the majority of these issues. Its very frustrating to experience the same or similar situations over and over even though my intentions are to simply get along with with other church members.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Being apart of a well functioning and skilled worship team
4. Teaching people to cook, what you eat is foundational. It affects your health, your ability to function and what your able to do to serve God and others.
5. To help people who have similar struggles that I have had. God walked me through them and He will do the same for them. I just want them to know there not alone and you can do it. Just point yourself towards God and keep going also heres what worked for me.
