S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Luanne Wojciechowsi for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Administration (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am naturally organized and a ‘driver’ of action. I enjoy putting together plans, goals and coordinating what needs to be done to make it happen. In my day job I lead a team in a digital-centered space, so technology and effectiveness are a part of my everyday thinking. I am a quick learned and open to any task that benefits the great good – from remedial to strategic.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know God has given me the gift of empathy. From a young age I have always been the type of person who enjoys connecting with others. I try to put myself in the shoes of others and offer encouragement or kindness whenever I can. In my personal and professional life, I have always tried to be a ‘bridge’ between whoever I can – connecting people or at least leaving them feeling a little more empowered and confident. As I get older, I realize I can use my faith and knowledge of Christ to make that even more effective, but am still working through how and what that looks like…

#3 Gift, Serving (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Truly serving others through action has fallen off my radar lately and I would like to focus more on this in the coming years. In college, I lead a business-service group that dedicated time to helping others, took a mission trip to St. Lucia, brought 10 students to Texas for service work, lead fundraising efforts, etc. It was easy to get involved and help drive programs like that when there was an infrastructure around me encouraging it. Now as an adult, we have two young kids and use the excuse of ‘not enough time’ too often. I would love to find ways to integrate service into our lives more often because I think our family is well set up to support God’s work here (given we are outgoing, enjoy people, not afraid to work hard, etc.).

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spending time in community with family/friends

2. Reading and learning

3. Time being active and outdoors

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Not picky at all – think there is joy with each age group and type of person, from babies in the nursery, awkward high schools, other married couples, elders, etc.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

– I think there are a lot of families in our stage of life who are feeling burnt out, need more purpose, put too much ‘earthly’ pressure on themselves. We did a marriage bible study group when we first got married and it is what opened our eyes to faith and I really believe it set the foundation for us. Would love to see more couples have a chance to experience that.
– Also think with COVID people are feeling isolated and in need of community, so anything to keep bridging that current gap.
– In general, so grateful we found Crosspoint when we moved out this way and am interested in doing whatever we can to help grow/maintain it.

*Mark the Top 3 from the list, that Trigger a Passion in You

Marriage/family issues
At-risk children
Other – Grief – I lost my dad 7 years ago and think that can really derail a person, my heart beats for people who feel like they can’t survive a loss like that

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up going to a small Methodist church with my parents and have fond memories of bible study classes and learning about God. My parents were very involved in the church, organizing the monthly pancake breakfast, helping mow the lawn, etc. We moved when I was in middle school and never re-connecting with a church in WI. Through HS and college, I did a lot service and fundraising, but never connected it to my faith or God’s purpose for my life. My dad died when I was 21 and I leaned on the mindset “it is all part of God’s plan” to get through it, but again did not have an active relationship with my faith. When my husband and I decided to get married, we met with a pastor at a friend’s church. He sat us down in his office and pushed us to talk about our faith and what it meant for us and our relationship. For several months he mentored us, challenged our thinking and got us involved with a group of other young couples. His discipleship changed us as individuals and as a couple – it sparked or desire to get closer to God and his vision for our lives. Since that first day in his office my perspective and relationship with God has changed, and we have made a conscious effort to continue getting closer to Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Went to Epikos Church – Milwaukee WI

Good News Project, Inc – St. Lucia Service Trip Program

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Studied abroad in college and took a job post-college that involved traveling all over the USA. Gave me a ton of confidence and the ability to connect with different people, find community, be bold, etc.

Becoming a mom changed my entire perspective on life and what it means to love/care for someone else.

Ran a marathon in 2018 which taught me the power of mental and physical strength, meditation, etc.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My dad passed away when I was 21, as an only child it forced me to learn what it means to manage your own grief as well as my mom’s grief. Also has taught me to be appreciative of every day.

Losing my way in life as HS, struggled a lot with wanting to fit in, giving in to peer pressure, unhealthy relationships. Now have a lot of compassion for girls at that age.
