My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My grandmother is the person who brought me to Christ. My mother and dad dropped some seeds of taking me to a church across the street from where we lived when I was a little girl. I remember going a few times. My grandmother adopted me and my sister. She took us to church regularly and taught us about God throughout our lives.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

True Victory Church, Clovis, New Mexico. In the 1994 – 2004. Sunday School teacher. Pantry leader. Member of Women’s prayer group.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Pastor John Brock and Phyllis Brock. Their love, teaching, dedication to their flock for all the years we were there. We were then, and still are family. They knew my John and the boys when they were young. Their steadfast Love of sticking by me when John died.

The legacy life my husband lived, all he gave, his hard work, weird funniness, and Massive example of a Christian lived life, and his impact on us all, still today.

The life of my grandmother. She kept my family together and was the backbone of our family. The good conversations we had. The unspoken lessons I keep today and can never forget from her.

Not being in control of my anger and actions. Praying before speaking. Letting someone else help you, and not keeping a wall up.

Investigating and researching things before making an assumption, acting on it, or moving forward.

Having a hard time letting go of a good past. Getting professional help at the needed time, not waiting 20 years later.
