#1 Gift, Evangelism (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I understand and gladly share the historical fact that Jesus truly rose from the dead! Acts 17:31 says that God has given proof for every man to believe in Him through Jesus’s resurrection from the dead. How can we believe in an invisible God? It is not through feelings, situations, or Jesus’s death that we can believe, because feelings and situations change, and everyone dies. However, Jesus’s resurrection is the foundation that has stood the test of time, and how athiest Lee Strobel came to know Jesus. Because Jesus rose from the dead, we can believe, and according to Romans 1:4 we know that He is truly the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead. Everyone dies, but only One rose after such a brutal torture. Many other leaders of man-made world religions are still dead and in the grave, but because Jesus rose, we have the gift of repentance leading to eternal life. Our charge is to believe in Him meaning we live for Him and not ourselves, as well as share His resurrection message with the world according to Matthew 28: 18-20!

#2 Gift, Mercy Showing (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I empathize with people who are depressed and going through difficult circumstances. I know difficulty is often a spiritual attack by the enemy, and believe it is important to share the the truth about what Jesus has equipped us with to overcome, just like He overcame.

#3 Gift, Teaching (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It is important to ensure others understand the scriptures so satan won’t come and steal away what has been sown in their hearts. The greatest teachers are also the greatest followers, and I desire to proclaim the gospel with clarity using the model Jesus gave us. He used stories, analogies, metaphors, repetition of key points, effective questioning, proximity, emphasis and more through prayer to get His point across. He also lived what he taught which is of utmost significance.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

4th grade teacher planted the original seed. Bus ministry at her church took me to church. After high school the prodigal daughter, then met my friend Donna who planted seeds. Went back to church & the late Brother Kruse witnessed/preached & I repented & gave my life to Christ finally at age 35. He chased me for a long time. Praise God!

Fairview Baptist Church 1st/2nd Grade Teacher 1 year , Living Faith Baptist Church Kinder garden Sunday School Teacher 5 years, BBC 2 & 3 year old Preschool teacher 5+ years & also helped with many Vacation Bible Schools at all 3 churches

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Putting myself through college & graduating Summa Cum Laude while working 2-3 part time jobs & playing tennis and volleyball. Taught me that you can overcome obstacles, plan your work & work your plan quite successfully.

Playing sports(tennis & volleyball). Still play tennis at 63. Taught me discipline, team work, focus and has helped me be healthy all these years. God blessed me with good health & showed me how to stay healthy by taking care of his temple.

Having children. They are the love of my life. Thank God I accepted Christ when pregnant with my first child! Both my son & daughter accepted Christ at an early age. (He didn’t have to chase them nearly as long as he chased me)

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Death of my father. He was only 47 & died of lung cancer. I believe this also helps me stay away from smoking/drinking & making it a point to keep exercising to stay healthy.

Divorce-after 30 years of marriage. Instead of growing old together, he decided he liked younger women.

Abusive boyfriend(thank God only 1). Learned my lesson after that to be more careful in my selection of men.

#1 Gift, Teaching (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Like to convey information people may not ever have known/explain things they may not be familiar with/delve into concepts which broadens someone’s understanding of the deeper meaning of a subject or principle or fact

#2 Gift, Giving (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
By loosely holding on to material or worldly “things” illustrates that this earth is not my home, offering what I have to those in need provides for them in this present life but can also count for eternity, everything I have (my will, mind, emotions, spirit, body, abilities, talents, income, possessions, etc.) comes from God so I don’t literally own anything

#3 Gift, Prophecy (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Really not sure on what basis I was assigned this gift, but do think we live in an age that mocks/minimizes God and the Truth generally, primarily due to Biblical illiteracy and a lack of knowledge of our nation’s foundations/grasp of overall history, etc. , resulting in a deficit in our society of integrity and guiding principles for life, and only by a heart change can the life of a person/home/school/business/
city/state/nation/culture/world be redeemed, redirected, saved, etc.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Raised in a Chrisian home, attended a Lutheran church in a small Central Texas community, baptized as an infant, made decision for Christ when in 8th or 9th grade after which got rebatiized by immersion, experienced ongoing spiritual growth at college (Oral Roberts University) and owing to faithful church attendance my entire life, along with own personal Bible study, etc.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Have been a singles small group leader/teacher at BBC for probably 15 years.

Have been co-facilitating DivorceCare at BBC for about 10 years.

Have served as a deacon at BBC for probably 10 years and did a 3-year term as a Trustee/Chairman of that Ministry Team in my final year

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Raised on a ranch in Central Texas which gave me strong attachment to family and the land and instilled a good work ethic, ran with good friends and adopted strong community values owing to the small rural community where attended school, engaged in extra-curricular activites, went to church

Received excellent college education and made life-long friends at Oral Roberts University

Good employers who helped develop my skills, stretched my capabilities, were examples of responsible stewards of the duties/tasks which they were charged with

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Divorce of my parents–despite me already having left home, it took its toll both on us kids (had 3 siblings) and my Mom since my Dad would have nothing to do with our Mom after the divorce

Prior to my Mom’s passing in July of 2015 after a long decline in her health, I was given the opportunity after my retirment in 2013 to assist with her health care, keeping up with her bills/income taxes/other finanical affairs, attended to home/yard upkeep, etc., which I regarded as payback for all she had done to help my kids and I following my divorce (see below).

In 1997, my then- wife was arrested for intentionally overdosing 2 male nursing home pateints who were roommates due to her feeling they didn’t have any hope of fully recovering from their condition, confessed, accepted a plea bargain of 2 concurrent 50 year sentences for capital murder with the finding of use of a deadly weapon (high dose of potassium chloride administered intraveneously), will be eligible for parole in 2022 after serviing half her sentence, though is no guarantee it will automatically be granted—as consequence, raised my 3 children (2 sons, 4 and 9 years old, one daughter 6 years old at the time of their Mom’s arrest) as a single parent, mainly with the help of my Mom, many supportive private school teachers, Sunday school teachers, and just ordinary BBC members who helped support (and still do) our home across a wide spectrum of ways

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
