S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Rebecca Chacon for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have worked in administration for over 13 years. I work closely with upper management at my current position and am considered one of their most reliable employees. I have a knack for doing office work and I feel that I am good at what I do.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy giving to people if and when I am able to. I may not always have the financial means to help out, but I do help out in other ways when I am able. It brings me happiness to help people out who need it.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am always the first one to help out when it is needed. I do not feel anything is “below me” and am willing to help with whatever needs to be done.

1. Reading. I love reading and I feel that it expands my knowledge. At the moment I am reading “Jesus” by Max Lucado and I absolutely love it. It dives deeper into who Jesus is as a healer, teacher, father, etc. It opens up my thinking to all that he experienced when he was a human just like us.
2. Church. Since attending Eastside I have developed a huge passion for the church community. I love being at church, I love going with my family, I love worshipping. It makes Sundays my favorite day of the week. I love putting my kids in kidside and hearing what they learned.
3. my kids and family. My husband and I have a blended family. I have 2 step kids, 1 adopted kid, and 2 children we had together. It’s a bit crazy at times with what I call “our circus”, but it’s so fun. Everyone gets along great and the older kids are so wonderful with the two little ones. It just fills me with so much joy when we are all together.
I wouldn’t really say I have a “type” when it comes to who I work with. At the moment I work with people from 20-65 and I work equally well with all of them. I just love creating lasting relationships with everyone I work with and I am able to mesh well with everyone despite their age or background.
I feel like in these times there is so much for the church, in general, to do. There are so many non-believers that I think there are many opportunities to create events that would draw them in. I feel like people tend to take one person who claims to be a Christian, and use them as the picture of who a Christian is. I believe that makes it even harder for true followers of Christ to reach people because they are tainted by a false vision of Christianity.

[A]bilities
My current vocation is billing and general office duties. I have a lot of experience with customer service, billing, speaking at meetings, training other employees, creating jobs/tasks.
My current job I have held for the last 13 1/2 years, it is what I hold the most experience in. Prior to this job, I worked in retail which began my experience in customer service skills and face to face communication.
I am a fast learner. I have always been able to pick up new tasks relatively quickly. I am a fast and accurate at typing and 10-key. I am friendly and always helpful.
I have never taught a class or seminar.
friendliness and patience. I always enjoy speaking with people and creating relationships with people so that you can always stay in tune with them and what is going on in their lives. I think friendship is needed by everyone.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I was raised in the church and became a Christian at a young age. I was very active in my childhood church. I stopped going to church in my twenties because I wanted to find a different church that I felt was more for me. I started attending Eastside in 2017 and just fell in love. Over the past 2 years Eastside has brought out a fire inside of me for Jesus. I like to incorporate worship music, sermons, bible readings into each day so that I am in the right mindset to take on the world.
My father having cancer–I know it doesn’t sound positive, but it brought my whole family together and drew my father to God. It had a huge positive impact on my relationship with my father and after his passing drew my mom and sisters closer as well.
having children. Having kids has really given me a new look on life. I enjoy sharing Jesus with them and hearing them tell me about what they learned in Sunday school. I hope that they always have wonderful people in their lives who know and love Jesus.
coming to Eastside. This church changed my spiritual life.
My father’s passing. I have had several friends who have lost a parent over the last several years and going through that experience really helps me to relate to them and give them a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen.
anxiety. I have anxiety and have had it my whole life. It has really helped me to lean on God and to give my burdens to Him to ease my anxieties. I am also able to help others who have anxiety. I have learned to pray for my anxieties and realize that God is in control of everything and there is no need to worry.
financial struggles. My husband and I went through a hard time financially a few years back. He lost his job and shortly after that we got pregnant with our second child. This was a huge turning point in us finding the church and trusting God. It gave me more compassion to those who are financially struggling because I know how scary it is to wonder how you’re going to pay your bills and feed your family.
