Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

#1 Gift, Administration (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy conceiving ideas which are innovative and creative and then implementing them. I have been told recently that I am quite resourceful.

#2 Gift, Giving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t love money too much to hold on to it, but I like to make more to use it to do things. I am generally quite bad at not-spending money, whatever moves me at the moment I will spend on it. I’m quite relaxed about where my next source of income will come from even if it is not clear at the point of giving.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It is easier to show empathy to people in a similar position when you have recently dealt with, or are still dealing with a negative set of circumstances. I like to mentor young people to help them make better decisions – it is something I would have liked when I was younger.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Making positive change in how people live their lives.

2. Experiencing new cultures and environments.

3.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

People who are equally ambitious and practical. Who wish to alter the status-quo of particular situations or environments – likely at the expense of maximising personal wealth or glory. Aged probably 25-45.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Making church more appealing to the masses without compromising our values. Use of technology in church. Building a commercially sustainable church model that however does not dilute the importance of sacrifice of giving. Leveraging off of worldly business principles for church benefit i.e. Isecuring a sponsorship from Nandos etc. to reduce food costs during services – two way transaction benefit.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My wife (then girlfriend) invited me to CCBC. As in becoming a proper Christian and not just a tag-along with my parents when I wanted to.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

N/A

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Getting married and then becoming a father, changed my whole hierarchy of values for the better.

Being accepted to study a masters at a leading business school, just feels like a defining accomplishment for someone from my ‘background’. Being a exemplar member on the course and now being invited back to speak at a lecture. It encouraged me that I can do whatever I want irrespective of class or colour.

Failing at my first business when I was 22, it was a good learning experience and exactly 5 years later I’m having a go again with more experience.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being expelled from primary school by a headteacher who also happened to be Ghanaian, in an unfair and dubious manner. Being labelled in prior years, and as a result the subsequent years of schooling and lost opportunities for a better education. The directly related process of nearly redefining my identify for the worse, hiding my talents and abilities and subsequent incidents etc.
So now I do not judge young people by their actions because so much is out of your hands at a young age and you are often left at the mercies of people without your best interest at heart unless you have very strong advocates backing you.

I and my older brother have SC anaemia, we grew up and continue to manage it without painkillers, medication, blood transfusions or complications. It built character and pain tolerance, but most importantly helps me to mentor those with the same condition.

Not living with my father in my formative years as he was working abroad due to visa restrictions, it led to loneliness and a lack of role models. Another trigger for understanding people who may not have a father figure at all.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was born into a long time of Christians, but I really became a Christian in middle school. My faith got weaker the first two year of college, but in the latter it improved a lot by struggling. Through the challenges I have learned to really trust God in everything and place my faith in Him for everything.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Buypyung Hwarang Church – childrens ministry in teaching English – 2 years

Choonghyun Church – Dallas – Sunday school teacher – 3 years

Choong Hyun Church young adult – treasurer – 1 year

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Growing up under loving parents who truly loved me. I have grown to be even more appreciative of them because we live so far away.

Being involved in college left me really busy, but I really learned a lot from participating in leadership roles there.

Growing up Korean American then living back in Korea for two years was tough, but I have gained so much from that experience

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Struggling in college with many challenges, but ultimately made me more reliant on God.

Being labeled from other people as the pastor’s daughter was stressful and being expected to act a certain way. The way people expected me to act was stressful, but I am still thankful to be born under such a loving Christian family – I feel like it was a huge blessing that I was born under a pastor. The way people at church treated me and expected me to act was negative.

Because I don’t identify 100% as Korean American or 100% Korean, it’s hard to really find the spot I relate to racially – this level of flexibility has helped me understand both cultures and appreciate both.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
