#1 Gift, Evangelism (90%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy sharing my testimony about all the great things God has done for me. I want others to know that He will do it for them too!
#2 Gift, Administration (87%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I thrive in being organized and detailed. I operate in a Spirit of Excellence and enjoy seeing events and things I have planned make other people happy and enjoy themselves. I want to see ministry done effectively with the proper amount of planning and execution. I believe organization is very important in the church (not so much that the Holy Spirit doesn’t have His say though) for members and visitors to be shown we are effective in ministry and can be trusted with their spiritual well-being and with their children and their well-being.
#3 Gift, Giving (81%)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’ve always wanted to give freely the way Christ gives to me. I understand the principals of giving and have always been a cheerful giver. I give of my time and talents as well as monetarily.
[H]eart
Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:
1. I love to encourage others around me by being the best example I can be for them to see the love of Christ. I enjoy listening to people and really getting to know them.
2. I love to worship my Jesus! Worship is very important to me in my everyday life. Most of my prayer life is worshiping the King of Kings!
3. I love to see my husband and children succeed. I love to see them happy with themselves for being successful at something they have worked hard to accomplish. It brings me great JOY!
Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:
I have a huge heart for Ladies Ministry! I enjoy seeing women encouraged by their sisters and realizing that we all have the same problems and no one should be left to themselves to deal with the things that we can help each other get through. Seeing women conquer and rise above their “stuff” lights a fire in me!
Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:
At this present time, I am completely excited for the changes that will be implemented when our new Pastors arrive. I have been praying for direction in ministry and life and I believe this is an answer to my prayers. I want to be challenged and mentored in ministry and church leadership! I have my concerns about many things at The Meadow in different ministries and leaders or workers in those ministries but I know God is on the move and through prayer and God’s timing these issues will be revealed to the new pastors and they will be resolved.

[A]bilities
My current vocation:
I am a stay at home mommy. I homeschool my girls who are 12 & 10 now. I clean the gym building at the church weekly.
Other jobs I have experience in:
I have not really worked in the job force much but I have done it all in the church! children’s, youth, ladies, event planning, secretarial, treasurer for ladies ministry at one time, been on several planning committee’s, Christian Education Board, fundraising, Sunday school, Girls Clubs, and VBS director. And probably more things that don’t really have a name:)
Special talents/skills that I have:
Organization, planning, communicating ideas for events or ministries, delegating jobs, encouraging others, listening, loving, smiling, hospitality, greeting, leading, speaking in front of a large group, teaching, equipping, execution of plans and ideas, etc.
I have taught a class or seminar on:
I am currently involved in a Ladies Ministry outside of our church called Bloom Ladies Ministries. This ministry schedules weekend or day retreats with churches to have a time of reflection and pruning. I teach several topics such as Lack of commitment and Unused talents, Sexual purity, Being Unequally Yoked, Healing and Deliverance, Inner and Emotional Healing, Destroying bondages, Gossiping, Having a Victim Mentality, and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Outside of retreats I have taught on several topics and Sunday school lessons.
I feel my most valuable personal asset is:
I’m a people person! I can communicate and gain favor with most people! Whenever we have had trouble communicating with “stubborn” people in the church the Pastors Council has sent me to communicate with them and I have always had success! That’s kind of funny but totally true. I have favor with the older generation and with the younger generation the same.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
My brief testimony of how I became a Christian
My childhood was corrupted by drugs and parents who were abusive and absent. I was on drugs and promiscuous at a young age. After having 2 children and an abortion I was living very destructively on Methamphetamines. I sent my children, who were 7 & 4, to live with their grandparents while I continued my drug addicted life. In January of 2005, I had been on a 30 day binge of being awake for the 30 days solid on Meth and when I ran out of drugs finally, I passed out wherever I was. When I woke up 2 or 3 days later I was sober, alone, and scared. I felt sickness coming on and I found a bathroom to vomit in and at that moment I came to the realization that I was pregnant again. My spirit man inside of me cried out in desperation, to a God that I didn’t know existed. I wanted to be a mother. I wanted to be healed and rid of this life I had created for myself. That day, right there on that bathroom floor, the old Jennifer died, and the New Jennifer was born! God changed my life in an instant. He delivered me from addiction, poverty, abuse, sexual immorality, rejection, and self-pity. I stood up a new creation with Christ before I even knew what had happened. In the coming months I began to search out Jesus and this experience that I had had. He revealed to me that He had His hand upon me every step of the way because of the plan that He had for me. His love, grace and mercy has forever changed me and made me whole. Praising Him!
Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):
East Niota Baptist church in 2005-2006. Niota, TN. I taught in Awana’s Clubs and helped in a VBS setting.
Green Meadow COG 2007 – currently
List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:
God brought me and Kent together through a miracle. He has been my best friend and we compliment each other perfectly. God put us together on a blind date and through that we have almost 11 years of marriage and ministry. I would not be who I am today had it not been for that blind date! He encourages me and gives me the support I need to do all the things I do.
All of the ministry opportunities I have ben given, while I have always felt unqualified, have encouraged me that God chooses the unqualified at times to accomplish His work. I have been very humbled at all the ministry opportunities I have been trusted with and do not take that lightly.
My children are very important and instrumental in our ministry. To be able to raise them in church and in ministry means so much to me. They have been very understanding of the demand of ministry at times. And while they have been impatient with it sometimes, they have always valued what God has done for our family.
List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:
We have been slandered a few times in the church and in ministry. It has been very hurtful to the point of where I just couldn’t hardly believe it was happening. “No they didn’t say that about us! We’re friends!”, is what kept playing through my mind. Pastor has shared with us and counseled us in this matter every time. And we have come to the understanding that our “circle” will be small and we will have to lean on each other and the Lord. Friends are far and few between. I have developed a great respect for pastors and ministry leaders that are careful about who they “let in’ to their lives and I have a much better understanding about earning a place of trust in relationships.
I have butted heads with some on how to carry out things and to what amount of detail and organization these things need. Not everyone has the same outlook in this area and so I have tried to be understanding of that. It has helped me modify the details to be better understood and carried out. Because of this I have developed skills in helping others to communicate their goals better to those that they are in ministry with. I always want the “right hand” to know what the “left hand” is doing.
In December 2017, the prison ministry was preparing a meal for 250 prisoners at Morgan County Prison. The coordinator of the event had worked very hard planning, shopping, organizing, calculating serving sizes, and figuring how all items will be cooked and kept warm for the duration of travel time and the event. She had labeled all of her many bulk items that were in the church fellowship hall and kitchen. This event had been worked on all year. The church Down Home Christmas was planned for the same weekend, which is totally fine except the 2 events did not get coordinated on their efforts. All of the tables and were taken out of the fellowship hall and moved down to the gym for the Christmas dinner early in the week and none were left for prep surface for prison dinner. Now I said all of that to say this…things just like this instance happen too often! The prison dinner people felt like their planning and hard work had gone unnoticed and unappreciated because they showed up on Thursday bright and early to begin the long day of cooking, prepping, transporting, feeding, and cleaning for the prisoners and there were NO tables for them to use. Literally the bulk items she had all over the tables had been taken off the tables, placed in the floor or the kitchen, and left. This may seem nitpicky but to that ministry leader it was embarrassing. All of her help had shown up and there was no where for them to work. This is why we need to get together on all accounts and make sure we are all on the same page. The church dinner wasn’t until Saturday and the tables could have been moved after prison dinner was done or there could’ve been other arrangements made if there had been communication.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. If money were not an issue I would love to see the church become a community place for people to be more often than Sundays and Wednesdays. We could have regular events at the church to draw more people in on a regular basis. We could have a gym and workout classes, sporting events, movie nights, dance lessons, etc. Just to give the community more opportunities to come fellowship with us.
4. I would love to take the Ladies on more outings and spend more time together.
5. To modernize our church buildings and classrooms! We are in much need of a facelift!!
